What you need: Aleene’s Spray Acrylic Sealer, Matte Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue (optional) Pampas grass Protective surface cover, such as newspaper or cardboard Artificial Christmas tree Various dried foliage and Christmas decorations (optional) Step 1 Gather the pampas grass (and other dried foliage, if using) for your pampas grass Christmas tree and lay them onto a flat protected work surface in a well-ventilated area. If desired, you can add a dab of Aleenes Original Tacky Glue to the base of each stem before placing it in the tree for a little extra security. Step 4 Once the tree is filled, you can personalize your pampas grass Christmas tree with even more decorations! Raised Webbing Spider-Man Cosplay Mask with Puff Paint

Raised Webbing Spider-Man Cosplay Mask with Puff Paint

Everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has been a staple in comic books, movie screens, lunchboxes, and backpacks— it’s never hard to spot a Spider-Man on Halloween or at your local Comic Convention! Take your Spider-Man cosplay to the next level with Tulip! This tutorial from Scrapper Costuming will show you how to upgrade your store-bought Spidey costume using Tulip Puff Paints for raised webbing designs. What you need: Tulip Puff Paint, Black Tulip Black Fabric Marker (optional) Spider-Man Mask Cardboard Binder or sewing clips Before painting, tap the bottle down to prevent bubbles from ending up in your paint lines. If your Spider-Man mask doesn’t have printed webs, you may want to draw on some web guidelines with a Tulip Fabric Marker to trace with Puff Paint. For extra neat results on your Spider-Man cosplay, take a moment to practice drawing neat, straight lines, joining ends of paint lines, and changing the pressure to change the thickness of paint on a piece of scrap cardboard. Stretch the Spider-Man cosplay mask over a piece of cardboard and position it so the mask is taut and flat. Place clips on the end to help hold the mask in this position. Use black Puff Paint and trace the web pattern on the mask to match your webbing. Make sure to match the width of your paint lines to the width of the printed webs on your Spider-Man cosplay mask to ensure the most realistic effect! Try to keep a consistent speed while painting for crisp and neat lines. Allow the freshly-painted section to dry completely. Once the Puff Paint is dry, unmount the Spider-Man cosplay mask and reposition and clip it so that an unpainted section is stretched across the cardboard. Repeat steps 2-4 until all web lines on your Spider-Man cosplay mask are painted. A second layer of Puff Paint will give the webs an even more 3D appearance if a more prominent effect is desired! After painting is complete and all the Puff Paint has dried, remove the mask from your board and attach eyes for your mask. Try taking this custom cosplay a step further and use Puff Paint on the whole Spidey suit! Enjoy wearing your raised webbing Spider-Man cosplay whenever you need a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! How are you using Tulip Puff Paints to customize your cosplay? Whether it’s for Halloween or a Comic Convention, we want to see your pictures of Spider-Man cosplay with Tulip! Mother’s Day Crafts: Marbled Tie-Dye Flower Pots

Mother’s Day Crafts: Marbled Tie-Dye Flower Pots

Give mom the unique handmade gift she deserves with this super simple Mother’s Day craft! This tutorial from Craft Box Girls will teach you how to make an elegant marbled flower pot with the Tulip Pretty Pastels One-Step Tie-Dye Kit. The playful pastels in this kit are perfect for creating colorful spring décor that moms will love! What you need: - Tulip Pretty Pastels One-Step Tie-Dye Kit - Shaving cream - Terracotta pots - Disposable tray - Plastic knife - White acrylic paint (optional) Before you get started on this Mother’s Day craft, thoroughly clean your terracotta pots. For this project, we painted the exterior of the pots with white acrylic paint as a base so that the pastel tie dye can really shine! You can skip this step if you are already using a white or light-colored terracotta pot. Fill your disposable tray with shaving cream and prepare your tie-dye solutions. There’s no need to splurge on the expensive stuff— the shaving cream is just a medium for marbling your dyes! Apply your desired colors to the top of the shaving cream. Try to stick to only 2 or 3 colors per pot, otherwise the colors may become muddled. Use your plastic knife to swirl the shaving cream, creating unique marbled patterns. Gently place your terracotta pot on its side into the shaving cream and roll it so that the exterior gets completely covered in the marbled shaving cream. You may find it helpful to roll it more than once for complete coverage and more intense colors. Let the shaving cream and tie dye dry for at least 10 to 12 hours. The shaving cream will evaporate, and you can just wipe off the residue with a paper towel. Your Mother’s Day craft is now complete! Fill it with mom’s favorite flowers for a fun gift that will look great in her garden! What Mother’s Day crafts will you create with Tulip One-Step Tie Dyes?
