5 Tie-Dye Heart T-shirt Ideas
Easy Puzzle Heart Wreath
Love is in the air year round, but there's something about Valentine's Day that especially makes us want to have our hearts out on display everywhere we go! This adorable heart wreath from Dream a Little Bigger is made out of puzzle pieces and Aleene's Original Tacky Glue, and is a great Valentine's Day project the kids can help make too. It only takes a few supplies – like that old puzzle in the back of the closet you could never find the missing pieces to – and you can easily create a wreath you'll love to put out on display year after year! What you need: - Aleene's Original Tacky Glue - Puzzle pieces - Spray paint (Dream a Little Bigger used COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint) - Scratch paper/pencil - Ribbon - Scissors Trace or draw a heart on scratch paper to use as a guide for puzzle piece placement. Begin adding a dot of glue to puzzle pieces one at a time and pressing together. Use your heart template as a guide for your shape, working the pieces around the heart shape accordingly as you glue together. Let dry. Once dry, flip over and seal any loose pieces on the backside with glue. Glue on extra pieces to reinforce the strength of the backing. Let dry. Repeat process for creating two additional hearts. For the third heart, do not glue the entire heart together at this point in time. Instead create two halves, as you will need to intertwine this heart with the other two. Working in a well-ventilated area, spray paint each puzzle heart a different coordinating color. Spray several light coats instead of one heavy coat, letting dry between coats. Lay your painted hearts out on your work surface and intertwine one half of the disconnected heart with one of the hearts and the other half with the other. Place the halves together to form a whole heart intertwined with the others. Glue all pieces together to secure. Let dry completely. Cut a strand of ribbon the size of the hanger you would like for your wreath. Flip your wreath piece over and glue each end of the ribbon in place on the back side. Let dry. Such an easy way to upcycle an old puzzle into a pretty Valentine's Day wreath that will capture your heart for years to come!

Now you're one step closer to achieving your wellness goals (in a super cute eye mask no less)! Put on your comfy clothes, cover those peepers and get ready to relax.
Upcycle Your Decor with Spray Paint
Having fabulous décor doesn’t mean having to spend a fortune on it. Flip or Flop Vegas host Aubrey Marunde shows you how easy it is to upcycle yard sale and thrift store finds with COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints. Make your space new again without breaking the bank by upcycling anything and everything you can find! Remember, don't be deterred by the appearance of an item; as long as you like its shape, the color is easy to change. So grab your COLORSHOT and get ready to give your budget finds a whole new look! What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints (colors shown here are: Stiletto, Scuba and Lucky Penny) - Lamp - Side table Yard sales and thrift stores are great places to find furniture and decor to upcycle for super cheap! Aubrey found this side table and lamp at a thirft store and planned on giving them a totally modern makeover with bright COLORSHOT Spray Paint colors. Make sure all of your items are clean and free from any dust and prints before painting. Rather than priming the wood table with a basecoat of Primer, Aubrey decided to start with adding Stiletto directly since the paint already has primer in it. If the table you are going to upcycle is made from slick materials, you might want to go ahead and prime first for best results. Spray several light coats of color at a time, until you are happy with the finished result. Let dry completely. The lamp Aubrey upcycled was brass, but yours can be glass, plastic or wood as well! Aubrey's tip: since the spray paint color is buildable, you can leave some of the brass shining through for a more vintage look, or spray until the color is opaque for a vibrant makeover. Did you know you can spray paint lampshades too? Aubrey opted for Lucky Penny for a pretty metallic sheen. Continue spraying light coats until you have a smooth, even finish. Once everything has completely dried, it's time to update your space with your newly upcycled décor. Look at that bold color! And just like that, your furniture finds have an eye-catching new look!

Wearing gloves, mix the Color Changer according to instructions. Apply Color Changer as desired onto the shirt and let it process for time recommended in instructions. Once the Color Changer has processed, remove rubber bands and launder according to instructions. Now it's time to add your tie dye! Dampen your shirt and place on a covered work surface, then mix up your dyes according to instructions. Apply randomly to your shirt as desired, then let set 6 to 8 hours or more and launder as recommended. Place a T-shirt form or cardboard inside the shirt to prevent paint from soaking through to the backside. Use Yellow Glow Paint to create "100 Days Brighter" wording or desired phrase for your 100 Days of School project. Then create 100 stars all over the front of shirt (if you can)! Let your shirt dry flat until the paint has completely dried. Your kiddo will be glowing with style and school year success!

Chosen for the sense of calm, confidence and connection it evokes, Classic Blue is the perfect color to kick off a new decade of tie dye! Sure, sometimes we're more into a rainbow of shades all in one (that's the beauty of tie dye, after all), but other times we like to keep it simple with a cool hue that still makes a statement. For a fresh take on this classic color, try using it for all of your favorite tie-dye techniques! Check out this roundup of ideas to help get you inspired to kick off your year in Classic Blue. Supplies needed - Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Kit (Blue or Shibori) - T-shirt, tote bag, dress, tapestry or other 100% cotton item Instructions Classic Blue Tie-Dye Tote Carry your stuff around in style with a Classic Blue tie-dye tote! Make sure your tote bag is 100% cotton/canvas (you can easily find one online or at most craft stores), then try the folding tie-dye technique to create an awesome, artsy pattern like shown here. Looking for a different vibe? The crumple tie-dye technique, sunburst tie-dye technique and ombre tie-dye technique are also easy options for tote bags! Classic Blue Tie-Dye T-shirt We're of the opinion that you can never go wrong with a tie-dye T-shirt in any color. Tie-dye T-shirts are great for all ages to wear and fun for any skill level to make. The bullseye tie-dye technique is fantastic for a tie-dye T-shirt in just one color, and the Classic Blue really makes it pop, don't you think?! Another tie-dye technique that will make blue tie dye anything but basic is the shibori twist tie-dye technique. Give it a try! Classic Blue Ombre Tie-Dye Dress Feeling blue yet? Classic Blue, that is. In several shades! Ombre dip dye is such an easy tie-dye technique, with no folding or binding required. All you need is a bucket/bin and some extra water to go along with your bottles of dye. Get the tutorial here for a tie-dye pattern you'll want to show off year after year, even after a new PANTONE® color is announced. Classic Blue Tie-Dye Tapestry If you're into displaying tie dye as much as you are wearing it (and why wouldn't you be?), this beautiful blue tapestry is for you! Wouldn't it look fantastic hanging on basically any wall in your house? Or as a curtain in a window? This tapestry features a simple striped tie-dye pattern, but pretty much any tie-dye pattern looks fab on a tapestry. Try the spiral tie-dye technique or the string technique in Classic Blue for a tapestry you won't want to take down.
Custom Leopard Print Wrapping Paper
Put a twist on traditional gift wrap this Christmas with leopard print wrapping paper! You do not, we repeat, you do NOT have to be a drawing expert or fine artist to create leopard print wrapping paper that looks oh so fine; it's so easy to DIY with simple white wrapping paper and COLORSHOT Premium Paint Markers. Check out this tutorial from Pretty Life Girls and get inspired to make what will obviously be the prettiest set of wrapped gifts under the tree this year. What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Paint Makers (colors used here are: Wine Stain, Bubble Bath, Kale and Cheers) - Plain white wrapping paper - Twine Lay out your wrapping paper and smooth out on work surface. Use your lightest Paint Marker color (Pretty Life Girls used Bubble Bath) and color abstract, jagged "spots" all over paper. With your next lightest Paint Marker (Cheers shown here), add color to one side of each spot in another jagged style pattern. Use your darkest Paint Marker (Kale shown here) to add a dark outline around each spot. You don't need to completely outline each spot; three quarters looks great but have fun with it in your own personal style! Pretty Life Girls did some paper with red outlined spots (using Speeding Ticket) and some with Kale for a traditional Christmas color vibe. Let all paper dry completely before using. If you're going with traditional Christmas colors, you can try pretty bows in twine, or use another coordinating ribbon color depending on your palette. This custom leopard print wrapping paper is wildly fabulous, don't you think?!
Monogram Custom Gift Wrap
Sure, you can wrap gifts in the same paper everyone else is using this year (yawn), or you can put your game face on and wrap gifts in paper that's cooler than the presents. Create your own custom gift wrap in colors that POP under the tree with COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint! It's fast, easy and a fun way to let your crowd know that you've just claimed the new title of gift wrapping queen/king from your Aunt Sue. For an extra personal touch, spray paint coordinating monogram letters instead of using traditional gift tags to take your creative flair all the way to the top. Get the tutorial from Pretty Life Girls and get to it - Christmas is just around the corner! What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (Orange Slice, Cosmo and Extra Guacamole used here) - Plain white wrapping paper - Wood letters - Coordinating ribbon Cut sections of wrapping paper large enough for wrapping gifts. (It helps to know what gifts you plan on wrapping with each color you're using.) Most likely you'll want to paint outside since you'll need a good amount of room. Cover your work area with plastic or heavy paper to protect from paint. Spray a light coat of your desired color onto the paper. Let dry and add another coat if needed to achieve the opacity you're looking for. Once you're finished spraying your sections of paper, spray your wood monogram letters to match. Spray several light coats at a time instead of one heavy coat for best results. Let dry completely. Once everything has completely dried, it's time to wrap those gifts! They're almost too pretty to open ... almost.
Custom Ombre Gift Wrap
You know that kind of wrapping paper that's just so pretty you don't want to tear it when opening gifts? The kind you want to save and use for something else? That's this custom ombre gift wrapping paper. And as our gift to you, Pretty Life Girls are gonna show you how to make your own using COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint. You're welcome. What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (colors shown are Speeding Ticket and Cash) - Plain white wrapping paper - Plastic covering (or heavy paper or cardboard) - Ribbon Lay out your protective plastic or cardboard with your supplies. You're going to need some space so you'll want to do this project outside or in a well-ventilated area. Determine the sizes of paper sections you'll need (it helps to know what gifts you are wrapping beforehand if possible). To create ombre effects, spray a light coat of color onto paper and let dry, then spray another layer of color in sections as shown, so that some sections are darker than the others. Let dry completely. Repeat for other colors. When your wrapping paper is dry, it's time to wrap presents! Add ribbon for gifts that stand out under the tree! Don't you want to open these (carefully)?!

Create a fold along one of the pencil lines and stich along the fold, just under the ridge of the fold. Tulip Winter Shibori Tie-Dye Pillows Gather the strands of thread in the center and tie them together in a knot to secure. Hold one of the strands of thread and use other hand to tightly scrunch the fabric along the strand. Tie a double or triple knot at the end to hold the fabric in place. Repeat for each strand. Tulip Winter Shibori Tie-Dye Pillows Fill your spray bottle with water and mist over the entire pillow cover to dampen. Apply dye as desired onto the cover. Have fun with it! To create your ornaments, use your circle punch to punch out two circles of the same color. Do this for as many ornaments that you want to make for your garland. Fold each circle in half, and use Tacky Glue to glue two halves of each circle together to form a full dimensional circle. To create the ornament hanger, cut strips of one color of cardstock, 1/2" wide by 1" long. Fold the strips in half and glue to the back of each ornament. Let dry completely. Cut a strand of cord as long as you'd like your garland to be, then string through the ornament hangers. Add a dot of glue inside each hanger and let dry to help hold the string in place. Look at how fun and colorful this turned out! Hang your paper garland anywhere you want to add some extra cheer this holiday season!
6 Ways to Transform Your Christmas Ornaments with Dimensional Paint
Looking for some super cute ways to decorate your ornaments this season that won't break the bank? Whip up some adorable ornaments in minutes using a craft closet staple – dimensional paint! There are a lot of possibilities for enhancing your ornaments with dimensional paint. The cool thing about using dimensional paint is that you can wipe it off if you make a mistake, so it's pretty much full-proof. What you need: Tulip® Dimensional Fabric Paint Rainbow 20 Pack (6) Clear glass or plastic ball ornaments Wooden dowels Add a few lines and squiggles for a super simple ornament. For this one, from the top, we drew four teal lines and connected them at the bottom of the ornament. Then in between each line, we added a colorful squiggle. It doesn't get easier than this For this leaf-inspired design, from the top of your ornament paint 4 1” lines of dimensional paint like the 12-3-6 and 9 hands of a clock. Take your next color of paint and draw a petal leaf shape all the way around the first line of paint. Follow that paint color up with another color of paint, then another to make this pretty leaf-like appearance. You could also slightly modify the shape of this design by making it more scalloped and curved if you wish! Make this diamond ornament in minutes. Start off by creating your dots and diamonds in the middle of your ornament. We made seven going all the way around the ornament. Then we zig-zagged around those diamonds in an alternating color. After you've done that zig-zagged diamonds add another zigzag row to top and bottom. Accent with more dots! This simple ornament is perfect in polka dots! Simply squeeze on the paints in random dot sizes all over your ornament. If you notice, we chose to make our red dots smaller than the teal dots. It's up to your preference on colors and positioning, just make sure not to apply too large of dots, or your paint may start dripping down your ornament if too much is applied. These might just be the simplest snowflakes to make ever. Start by squeezing 8 dots in a circular pattern with the paint. Then connect each dot to its opposite dot! Easy peasy. Swirls are so much fun to make and are addicting. They are kinda like creating loopy C's, G's and E lettering! Change them up by squeezing them clockwise and counter-clockwise, rotating as you go.

DIY Tie Dye With Fabric Paint
Just because summer has come to a close doesn’t mean that you have to pack up all of the fun summer colors. Tie-dye clothing is a great way to carry sunny summer vibes with you into autumn in a stylish (and thrifty) way! Holly from Club Crafted shows you how to turn any of your favorite shirts into a DIY tie-dye masterpiece for an easy way to keep your fall full of fun, bright looks. The best part is that the only art supplies you’ll need are your favorite Tulip Soft Fabric Paint colors! What you need: Tulip Soft Fabric Paints - 4 to 5 colors of choice White shirt (cotton, pre-washed recommended) Squeeze bottles Water Rubber bands Plastic/rubber gloves First, you’ll need to get your Soft Paint colors mixed with water and ready to be used. (This technique requires you to water down the paints a bit.) Squeeze about 1-2 tablespoons of paint into an empty squeeze bottle. Fill the remainder of squeeze bottle with water and close the lid tightly and shake away! It’s important that the solution is mixed thoroughly for color application. Tip: you can test the diluted paint on a scrap fabric swatch to make sure it's properly mixed, or just do a visual check if your bottle is clear. Now it’s time to prep your shirt. This is where you can get a bit creative. The way that you lay out your white shirt will determine how your tie-dye pattern turns out. You can vertically pleat the shirt and fold in half as done here, or experiment with other tie-dye techniques. Now you’re almost ready to dye your shirt! Once rubber bands have been tightly placed on the shirt, wet the fabric and then ring it out to remove excess water. The shirt should just be damp. Don’t forget to put on your rubber gloves before dyeing the fabric and cover your surface with plastic to protect it from stains. Finally, you have the chance to get creative. Take your diluted fabric paints and go crazy! Squeeze your mixed fabric paints on the shirt where you wish to have color. Once the shirt has been completely colored, remove the rubber bands. Technically, your shirt is done once it’s completely dry! However, if you would like to achieve the above watercolor look, rinse lightly (colors will run) and allow your DIY tie dye shirt to dry completely. For more white sections and brighter colors, allow to dry completely and DO NOT rinse. And that’s just it! After less than 10 steps, you’re ready to take on the new season with fun rainbow colored vibes.
Quote Art Gradient Gallery Canvases
Quote art canvases are a fab way to add some inspiration to your day while also adding some art to your walls! DIYing your own makes it extra personal (and affordable) and it's not difficult to do with a little help from letter stencils in a style you love. With a pretty gradient background in a color scheme that pops on your walls (we're vibing with this palette that reminds us of the sunrise and sunset) this artsy DIY gallery canvas set created by Club Crafted using Tulip Brush-On Fabric Paint is a great craft for all ages and skill levels. This project also makes a great gift for friends and family during the holiday season and for birthdays! What you need: - Tulip Brush-On Fabric Paint in desired colors for gradient + white - 3 Triangle canvases - Sponge brushes - Paintbrush - Sticky alphabet stencils - Paper cups for mixing paint Choose a color palette that works well together for creating a gradient effect (stay away from colors that will brown when blended into one another). For your quote art canvas, choose one color for the base. For ours, we wanted more of a pastel shade, so we mixed white paint into the color. Paint the entire canvas with your chosen shade. Squeeze a few dots of white Soft Paint randomly onto the canvas for creating a marbling effect. Use a sponge brush to blot and blend the white into your base color, creating a marbled effect. Let dry once you are happy with it. Once the canvas is dry, it’s time to add your quote art. We went with "Be Bold," but if you would like to make a different statement with your art, feel free to do so. To use the stencils, simply peel away the backing from the sticky stenciling letters and press onto the middle of the canvas. Use a sponge brush to dab paint over the stencil openings. Carefully peel away the stencils while the paint is still wet and let dry completely. See how easy it was to create quote art on a canvas?! To create gradient effects on your other canvases, start with your lightest color and brush onto the canvas. While the paint is still wet, brush the second lightest color onto the canvas, blending some of the color into the first. Repeat with the darkest color and blend into the second color. You can repeat the same pattern on the third canvas or mix it up with the direction and widths of your painted sections. Get creative with it! Your new quote art gallery canvases are ready to hang (or gift) where everyone can admire them. Will it be on the bathroom wall or to add some style to your office? The choice is yours!

That's why we've rounded up our favorite no-sew ugly Christmas sweater DIYs that you can easily make in an afternoon with just a few supplies and Aleene's® Fabric Fusion®. So hit the thrift store, raid your craft stash and get ready to rock a terrifically tacky Christmas sweater this holiday season. Would you rather spend your time hanging with your feline friends than at your human friends' ugly sweater party this year? Then this Kitten Mittens Ugly Christmas Sweater DIY is perfect for you! All you need to make this fantastic little number is a sweater vest, some child-sized mittens and Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint in holiday colors. Glue the mittens on with Fabric Fusion then use Dimensional Paint to create kitties, yarn strands, paws and other embellishments on and around the mittens for a sweater that's sure to have you dubbed the coolest (craziest) cat lady at the party. If you're looking to impress Santa this holiday season, you can't go wrong with a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer-themed sweater. This ugly Christmas sweater DIY is super easy to make with felt, pompoms, Fabric Fusion and fabric markers (we like Tulip Fabric Markers because they don't require heat setting). Cut out your reindeer face shape from brown felt, glue on googly eyes, a red nose and a mouth-shaped section of white felt. One dry, use a black fabric marker to draw teeth on the mouth section and to create nostrils on the nose. Glue white pompoms randomly around the sweater for snowy effects. Let dry and you have yourself an ugly Christmas sweater that'll make sure you end up on Santa's Nice List this year. Tacky Christmas ties are even easier to find than ugly Christmas sweaters, so this ugly Christmas sweater DIY combines the best of both worlds for one terrifically tacky project. Hit the thrift shop and see what you can find in the tie bin (there's always a tie bin somewhere); you don't have to use Christmas ties if you can't find them - Christmas colors will do too! Cut your ties to fit the length of your sweater and arrange in a Christmas tree shape, then glue everything in place with Fabric Fusion. Tie one of your ties into a bow and glue at the top of the tree for a fab finishing touch. Tip: Use sewing pins to hold the ties securely in place while they dry. Now you're ready to rock around the Christmas tree dressed like one! Okay so this ugly Christmas sweater DIY isn't ugly, let's be honest. Unless you hate glitter; then it is. Or if you just want to be shimmery and cute at your holiday party while everyone else is dressed in something ugly, this is the sweater for you. And so easy to make! Cut out Christmas tree shaped sections from some glittery iron-on transfer sheets. Iron in place on the front of a sweatshirt, then use Fabric Fusion to glue big sparkly pompoms onto your tree for ornaments. Let dry and you'll light up the room like tinsel this holiday season! Look at all of the awesomely ugly Christmas sweater DIYs you can make with Fabric Fusion! Get inspired and get festive this holiday season with absolutely no sewing required.
Halloween Decor DIY: Boo Sign
If you're like some of us around the COLORSHOT office and still haven't decorated your porch to scare or entice trick-or-treaters in a few weeks (some of us might even have spring & summer decor still up - sigh), don't stress. You can still totally pull together some wickedly awesome last-minute Halloween decor DIYs before the day hits with a little help from COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint in spooky fun colors. This sign for your front door created by our friend @citygirlmeetsfarmboy only requires a few supplies and the result is quite boo-tiful, don't you think? What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (colors shown here are Designer Sunglasses, Princess Cut, Smoke & Mirrors) - Wood round - Wood Halloween shapes (bats, "boo" or other wording, etc.) - Thick ribbon in Halloween colors - Wood glue (we like Aleene's® Wood Fusion for indoor/outdoor use) - Staple gun - 1/4" tape - Protective plastic First you'll want to spray paint your individual sign pieces before gluing them all together. For the sign base, @citygirlmeetsfarmboy used Princess Cut. Spray several light coats until you are happy with the coverage, letting dry between coats. Once your basecoat is dry, run a few strips of 1/4" tape along the bottom, about 1/4" apart, then cover the remainder of sign with plastic to protect from overspray. Spray several light coats of Smoke & Mirrors over the sections in between tape strips. Spray bats as well with this same color. Remove tape and let dry. For the "boo" wording, spray just a light coat of Designer Sunglasses to create more of a rustic effect. Use your heavy-duty glue to glue the pieces in place on your sign to your liking. Allow the sign to dry flat until the glue has set and is completely dry. Tie a big bow with your ribbon and staple or glue in place. Staple each end of a strand of ribbon to the backside of your sign to create a hanger. Hang your sign and pair with your other Halloween decor DIYs to get your porch ready for some trick-or-treating fun!
Halloween Decor DIY: Witch Brooms
Witch-themed costumes and decor are a Halloween tradition in our minds, and you can either go the super scary route, or the cute "Hocus Pocus" kind of witch route. This year we're vibing with the latter for our Halloween Decor DIYs, so we couldn't pass up these fun witch brooms made by our friend @citygirlmeetsfarmboy using COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints. Read on to see how easy it is to turn ordinary brooms into the perfect Halloween porch decorations with spray paint and ribbons. What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints (this project features Silver Lining, Black Tie Affair, Orange Slice) - Straw brooms - Painter's tape - Halloween ribbons Make sure your broom handles are clean and free of dust. Spray each with several light coats of Silver Lining, letting dry between coats. Once completely dry, wrap painter's tape in a spiral around each handle from top to bottom. For one of the brooms, spray several light coats of Orange Slice over the tape openings, letting dry between coats. When you are happy with the coverage, remove tape and let dry. Repeat on other broom with Black Tie Affair. Cover handles with protective plastic to protect from overspray, and spray straw portion of brooms with Black Tie Affair. Let dry then tie festive Halloween ribbons around the straw. What trick-or-treater wouldn't want to stop by this porch?! Clearly you have great taste! (In Halloween Decor DIYs but probably in candy too.)

What you need: - Aleene's Super Fabric Adhesive- Aleene's Crystal Clear Tacky Spray- Embroidery hoop- Flannel fabric with family name- Winterberry branches- Garland- Salt- Scissors Lay your fabric with name out flat on your work surface. (You can use a cutting machine and iron-on vinyl to create, or fabric paint if you don't have access to a cutting machine.) Press the top piece in place down over the bottom piece. Flip over and tighten, then let the glue dry. Trim excess fabric from around hoop. Water Marbling With Spray Paint
Water marbling - a.k.a hydro dipping - is such a cool technique with seriously one-of-a-kind results. You know where we're going with this right? We decided to try water marbling with COLORSHOT metallic spray paints on some hangers for our glam dressing room and we have to say, we were so happy with the results! What a cool way to add multicolor effects to your around-the-house items for stunning metallic marble effects. What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints (we used Primer, Princess Cut, Smoke & Mirrors, Silver Lining) - Wood hangers - Bucket with water - Rubber gloves Make sure your hangers are clean and free of dust. Spray with a basecoat of Primer and let dry. Fill your bucket with water. When you're ready to start hydro dipping, spray each of your spray paint colors in sections on top of the water. You'll see the spray paint pool and move throughout the water; keep adding to your liking. You'll want a decent amount of color for hydro dipping your item. When you're ready, submerge your item into the pool of spray paint. Make sure you are wearing gloves for this part! While holding the item in the water, use your gloved hand to spread the paint around the item for cool marbling effects. Remove the item from the water and allow it to dry completely on a covered surface to protect from paint. Look at these beautiful marble patterns! We feel like we need (want) to go out and buy new clothes worthy of hanging on them. This dressing room is OH. SO. GLAM. And it hardly cost anything to revamp thanks to COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints in stunning metallic shades.
Metallic Painted Vase
We all love vases ... and why do we love them? Because vases hold flowers and flowers are a girl's best friend (after diamonds, of course). Most of us have a few old vases around the house so this project is even easier because you can simply grab a vase out of the cabinet and give it a stunning new look with metallic spray paint. No shopping needed! (Although shopping is fun too, who are we kidding?) We opted for a dark metallic hue like COLORSHOT Smolder for our ceramic vase, but with so many beautiful metallic shades to choose from, you can't go wrong! What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (we used Smolder) - Vase - Plastic cover for work surface - Paper towels Make sure your vase is clean and free of dust and prints. Stuff some paper towels inside of the vase to protect from overspray. (We don't recommend painting the inside of the vase if you're going to be using it with actual flowers and water.) Spray several light coats of Smolder metallic spray paint (or desired color) onto vase, letting dry between coats. Once you're happy with the coverage, let dry completely. And just like that, you can give new life to an old vase with spray paint! We're going to start changing our outfits a million times just to spend more time in this dressing room.
How To Spray Paint A Mirror
If you've ever purchased a mirror, you know how outrageously expensive they can be. That's why COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint is your new best friend. You can easily spray paint a mirror to give it an entirely new look, so save yourself some expense and revamp one you already have or swooped up on discount at a yard sale or thrift store. We promise, even the most unattractive mirrors can look stunning with a new metallic spray paint job. EASY. AS. PIE. (Actually pie seems hard to make - where did that saying even come from? How about we say: EASY AS USING COLORSHOT. Much better.) Make sure your mirror frame is clean and free of any dust. If you can't remove the mirror from the frame, you can mask it off using heavy paper and painter's tape. Spray several light coats of Bubble Bath onto mirror frame, letting dry between coats. Tip: If you are painting a metal frame, try using a basecoat of Primer before adding color. Once you are happy with your coverage, let dry completely. Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest one of all? COLORSHOT of course! Call us vain if you want, but we could sit in this room and stare in the mirror all day.
How To Repaint A Dresser
If you're anything like us, you find some sort of thrill in making old stuff look new again (especially with spray paint)! Why toss something out if it still has major potential? Something that looks terrible in yellow might suddenly be a head turner in silver, you know? In this post we're talking about how to repaint a dresser since we all have them and most of us don't even like our dresser because it looks BLAH. So whether you recently scored an old dresser at a yard sale or it's been in your family for years, giving it a makeover to match your current fabulous taste is easy with COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint. First remove all of the hardware. If you don't feel like sanding down the dresser, we don't blame you. You'll just want to coat it with Primer. Spray several light coats, letting dry between coats until you have a nice basecoat. Spray several light coats of Princess Cut (or desired color) spray paint onto the dresser, letting dry between coats. COLORSHOT dries to the touch in 10 minutes but let the dresser completely dry before reattaching hardware. You can put on new hardware or spray paint the old stuff to give it a whole new look! How stunning is this metallic color on this dresser? The light silver sheen of Princess Cut really adds an elegant touch, don't you think? Now you know how to repaint a dresser in a few easy steps! No-Sew PAC-MAN Inspired Costume
Halloween doesn't have to be all about creepy ghosts, goblins and witches galore! Go retro this year with a PAC-MAN® inspired costume with no sewing needed. Holly from Club Crafted shows you how to dress the part of your childhood favorite video game using Aleene's® Super Fabric Adhesive and felt on a simple black dress. Keep reading for this easy Halloween costume DIY that can be modified for any age. What you need: - Aleene's Super Fabric Adhesive - Black dress (or black garment like shirt/pants if you are modifying the costume) - Felt (white, yellow, fuchsia, blue, orange, red) - Scissors - Sewing pins - Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint - PAC-MAN® character patterns First create your PAC-MAN character patterns on pieces of scratch paper. Tip: you can print shapes from online and trace, then cut out to use as a template. Pin your character shapes on different colors of felt (using yellow for PAC-MAN) and cut out. Cut out circle shapes from white felt. It helps to layer the felt so you can cut out several at a time. First decide where you would like your PAC-MAN shape to go. Apply Super Fabric Adhesive to the backside and press in place on your dress. Decide where you would like your dots to go in order to create dotted lines along the front of dress that lead to other characters. Glue in place. Continue gluing dots and characters, also gluing two white dots on each character for eyes. Tip: You can first lay out all of your dots and characters on your dress before gluing just to make sure you are happy with the layout. Then simply lift each at a time, add glue and press back in place. Use Black Slick Dimensional Paint to create eyes on each of the characters except PAC-MAN. Let everything dry completely. Whatever you decide to do this Halloween, you'll be winning in this easy no-sew PAC-MAN inspired costume!
No-Sew Kid's Captain Marvel Costume
What's cooler than dressing up in a Captain Marvel costume this Halloween? Nothing! But before you run out and spend a small fortune on a store-bought costume for your little one, read this post to see how easy it is to make your own no-sew kid's Captain Marvel costume with Aleene's® Fabric Fusion and Tulip® ColorShot Instant Fabric Color. Our super creative friend Vanessa Brady over at Tried & True gives the details on how she created this fantastic superhero costume. What you need: - Aleene's Fabric Fusion - Tulip ColorShot Instant Fabric Color (red and blue) - White pajama set - Non-fraying gold fabric - Freezer paper - Iron - Red boots (you can paint a pair of boots/shoes if you don't have red ones) - Red T-shirt (optional) - Scissors - Captain Marvel star pattern - Old paintbrush - Plastic surface cover Make sure the pajama set is washed and dried (without fabric softener) for best results. Since you'll be using fabric spray paint, you'll also want to make sure to cover the area you are working on with a disposable plastic surface cover. Use the Captain Marvel star pattern to create the V shape on a piece of freezer paper (non-wax side) and cut with scissors or a craft knife. Iron the bottom portion waxy side down onto the shirt just under the chest area as shown, including the sleeves so the shoulders and bottom portions of sleeves are exposed. Cover all areas of shirt you do not want painted with the first spray paint color. Spray several light coats of red ColorShot onto the top part of shirt and the bottoms of sleeves, letting dry between coats. (Don't forget the back side!) When you are happy with the coverage, remove the freezer paper. Next you'll want to cover over the areas of the shirt you sprayed red to protect from blue overspray. Iron the other parts of the freezer paper pattern over the red sections. Repeat spraying blue ColorShot over the exposed bottom portion of shirt. Remove the freezer paper when dry. Use the Captain Marvel star logo pattern to create and cut the design from gold fabric. Make sure to cut enough to fit around the back of shirt as well. For gluing the gold fabric design onto the shirt, grab a bottle of Fabric Fusion and an old paintbrush if you have one. Squeeze some Fabric Fusion onto the backside of the gold fabric piece and use an old paintbrush to spread glue evenly to the outer edges. Press in place along the V shape design on shirt. Repeat adding glue to star and gluing in place. If you can't find red boots, you can paint a pair. Make sure to use a paint that works on the material of the shoe. Optional: to create a red sash, cut a section of fabric from the bottom of a red T-shirt. See how easy it is to turn your super tot into a superhero?! Your little Captain Marvel is ready to save Halloween!
