10 Glow in the Dark Pumpkin DIYs

Want to create the coolest pumpkin on the block this year? Break out the Tulip Puff Paint and create a glowing pumpkin that will get lots of oohs and ahhs from the neighborhood kids. Here's just a few fun ideas that will help spark your creativity and get you into the Halloween spirit! For this glowing pumpkin creation, you simply squeeze out the paint in a clockwise twist of the hand all around the pumpkin. You can play around with the thickness and colors of the paint too! Mix it up with geometric designs on your pumpkin. Cover your pumpkin in circles, squares, and triangles. The all-over coverage makes this pumpkin a winner! Create this simple Boo pumpkin with dots all over your pumpkin! The dot design is so easy to make! You could also do initials or just dots without the words. Another option is to do giant dots! This pumpkin was created layer rings of paint all over! This pumpkin used the "natural" glow dimensional paint and went wild with geometric designs allover. Loved how brightly it glows! We love how these pumpkins were created. Very abstract and fun on the two on left and right. And the skull pumpkin is a funky idea for your Day of the Dead festivities! This pumpkin will make you go EEEK! when the lights are turned off. Love how the colors twist up the stem too! This monogram pumpkin is so easy to make! All you need to do is place a sticker down on the pumpkin and dot around it with the glow paint! You can make a personalized one for every family member or spell out a phrase with several pumpkins. This is the ultimate glow pumpkin by Jaderbomb and so easy to make! You simply squeeze the paint along the indents of the pumpkin in stripes! Here's a slight variation of the one above! For this design, the paint was squeezed onto the pumpkin and let it drip out like it was melting. Then a heat gun was used and crackled the paint for this super cool effect! Which of these pumpkins is your fave? No matter which one you choose, expect lots of reactions when someone sees your finished pumpkin!

DIY Dog Costume: No-Sew Burger with Felt Glue

DIY Dog Costume: No-Sew Burger with Felt Glue

If you’re like us you love dressing up your dogs for Halloween with DIY dog costumes! Get your pets in on the spooky season festivities with an adorable no-sew burger costume! This tutorial from Oh Yay Studio will show you how to make a tasty-looking hamburger costume for your pets using Aleene’s Felt & Foam Tacky Glue. Halloween has never looked so cute! What you need: Aleene’s Felt & Foam Tacky Glue 1 round foam ball Felt in “burger” colors (tan, white, green, red, yellow) Scissors Knife Paintbrush Brown paint Elastic or ribbon Straight pins (optional) Step 1 Use knife to cut your foam ball into 4 pieces for this burger costume. The top rounded piece will be the top bun, the second piece will be the patty, third will be the bottom bun. Set aside the bottom rounded piece for another craft project! Step 2 Cut a circle of tan felt to fit the top rounded piece, leaving approximately 3 inches around the edges to fold to the underside. Step 3 Use Aleenes Felt & Foam Tacky Glue to glue the felt in place. Optionally, you can secure the felt in place temporarily with straight pins while the glue dries. You'll want the felt to be nice and taut as to eliminate any creases in your DIY dog costume! Step 4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the third piece of your foam ball to create the bottom bun. Step 5 This classic burger costume would not be complete without sesame seeds on the bun! Use scissors to cut out seeds from white felt and glue to the top bun. Step 6 Next, you’ll want to create a juicy patty for your dog’s burger costume! Take the second piece of the foam ball and paint all sides brown. Add extra details, such as grill marks and shading, for a more realistic patty. Set aside to dry completely. Step 7 While the patty is drying, cut some felt to create toppings for your DIY dog costume. For this project, Oh Yay Studio made lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and cheese. Get creative with the details to make a one-of-a-kind burger costume for your pup! Try making felt onions, mushrooms, bacon, or any other combination of condiments and toppings! Step 8 Once the paint and glue have dried, it's time to start assembling your dogs burger costume! Remove any pins and begin layering your burger. Start with the bottom bun, then glue down your lettuce, patty, cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and any other toppings. Lastly, glue down the top bun and squeeze the burger together to ensure everything is properly adhered. Step 9 Once the burger costume has set, add elastic or ribbon to the bottom to fit your dog's body. Secure with glue and allow to dry completely. Step 10 Its finally time to dress up your pup! Be sure to snap some photos of this adorable DIY dog costume before the Halloween festivities begin. Will you be creating a burger costume for your furry friends this Halloween with Aleenes? Whether you are going for spooky or cute, we want to see your DIY dog costumes! Snap a pic of your pup and us on social media @AleenesDIY!

With the enchanting glow of our Glow-in-the-Dark Trick or Treat Tote, you’ll not only have a sturdy carrier for your goodies but also a magical accessory that illuminates the night! Using Tulip Glow in the Dark Puff Paint, let’s turn an ordinary canvas tote into a dazzling Halloween masterpiece that’s both practical and festive! Materials You'll Need: Tulip Glow in the Dark Puff Paint Canvas tote Cardboard Pencil Step 1: Prepare Your Crafting Surface Before you start crafting, insert a large piece of cardboard into the tote. This step will offer a stable and flat crafting surface, making the painting process smooth and preventing the paint from seeping through. Step 2: Sketch Your Design With your pencil, lightly sketch the desired Halloween design onto the canvas tote. This draft will serve as your guide when you apply the Glow-in-the-Dark Puff Paint, so make it clear and visible. Step 3: Paint Application Now, it’s time to bring your design to life! Using the Tulip Glow-in-the-Dark Puff Paint, carefully trace and fill in your penciled design on the tote. For a bold and even glow, ensure to apply a generous amount of paint, covering all parts of your sketched design. Step 4: Drying Allow the painted tote to dry flat for four hours before removing the cardboard Patience is key! During this time, the Glow-in-the-Dark Puff Paint will set, and your design will solidify. Once it's dry, carefully remove the cardboard from inside the tote. Step 5: Activation To activate the magical glow of your tote, expose it to a UV light source, like the sun or a black light, for at least one minute. If you're using an incandescent bulb, allow several minutes for the Glow-in-the-Dark Puff Paint to absorb the light and reach its optimal glowing effects. Illuminate your Halloween night with a DIY Glow-in-the-Dark Trick or Treat Tote, and don’t forget to share your wonderful creations with us! Tag us on social media @TulipColorCrafts and let the world see your glowing masterpiece! Happy crafting and trick-or-treating!

No-Sew Rainbow Hoodie for Kids

No-Sew Rainbow Hoodie for Kids

Somewhere over the rainbow ... is another rainbow on a hoodie that's unbelievably adorable and fun to wear in rain or shine! Made with yarn, pompoms and nontoxic Fabric Fusion, there's no sewing required so it's an easy project for the kiddos to get involved in. Our rainbow is featured on a hoodie but you could easily recreate this technique on a T-shirt, tote bag or canvas to make cute wall art! Follow the rainbow this way to creativity ... What you need: - Aleene's Fabric Fusion- Aleene's Stop Fraying- Hoodie – color of choice (or T-shirt, tote bag, etc.)- Thick yarn – rainbow colors- Pompoms – white and blue for clouds and rain- Pencil (optional)- Cardboard or plastic trash bag (for inside of hoodie)- Scissors Make sure your hoodie (or fabric item depending on what you are creating) is clean and dry. Insert a piece of cardboard or a plastic trash bag inside of the hoodie to protect the backside in case any glue seeps through the top layer while you are working. If needed, first use a pencil to lightly draw a rainbow arc on the front of the hoodie. Otherwise, freehand apply a thin line of Fabric Fusion in an arc shape for the top rainbow color. Tip: Less is more when using Fabric Fusion. Applying too much will oversaturate the fabric and cause it to become difficult to glue your yarn to. So make sure to apply a thin line to your hoodie. Measure and cut your first color of yarn to fit glue arc. Press into glue and trim any excess. Continue the process with other yarn colors until your rainbow is complete. Apply Stop Fraying to the ends of yarn strands to keep the yarn from unraveling. Let dry. Use Fabric Fusion to glue white pompoms at each end of the rainbow to create clouds. Glue smaller blue pompoms scattered under clouds like falling raindrops. Let dry completely.

DIY Book Page Pumpkin

DIY Book Page Pumpkin

It’s almost that time of year again! The cooler weather, changing colors, and pumpkin spice lattes. Oh fall how I love you so. There is no doubt pumpkins are a familiar sight this time of year and today I’m sharing how to bring some fall decor to your home with a few supplies a book and Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue. What you need: Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue Paperback book Craft knife Scissors Pencil Self-healing cutting mat Painter's sponge Craft Paint Twine Tree twigs or cinnamon sticks First thing you’ll have to do is to remove the front and back cover. Sketch out a pumpkin to fit the size of your book when folded this will be your cutting template. You can also just print out a pumpkin and modify the image to fit your book. Fold the pumpkin sketch in half; you’re only going to use one half of the template. Before cutting out the template, make sure the pumpkin half will actually fit within the book you plan to cut. Trim the template accordingly to get the perfect fit for the book. Slide the self-healing mat under 5-6 pages. Place the template on top of the pages trace with a pencil and carefully use the X-Acto knife to cut the pages along the line. Limit the number of pages you cut at one time to about 5-6. If you stack too many pages, the knife may not cut through them cleanly. After cutting the first set, slide the mat under the next stack of pages and repeat until you get to the end of the book. If you want to add some charm to your pumpkin, Fold the book and use a sponge brush to apply several coats of craft paint across the outside of the pages. Allow to dry. Use Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue to connect the two sides of the book together along the spine. You may also want to glue the two end pages together for a better hold. Save

No-Sew Halloween DIY: Raincloud & Rainbow Costume

No-Sew Halloween DIY: Raincloud & Rainbow Costume

Embrace the magic of the Halloween season with a whimsical costume! This no-sew Halloween DIY from Oh Yay Studio will show you how to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud— literally! Learn how to create a raincloud and rainbow costume with Aleene’s Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion and get ready for another creative Halloween. What you need: Aleene’s Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion 1 ½ - 3 yards of white fabric Fabric in rainbow colors Blue fabric Iron + ironing board 10” foam disc Headband Polyester fiberfill Ribbon Scissors Paper Pencil Step 1 Step 1 Cut out the clouds and straps To start this Halloween DIY, measure your body and cut out the clouds from fabric. Cut the width of your white fabric in half so that you have 2 long strips, then fold each piece in half width wise. You will use one long folded piece for the front and one for the back. Measure and cut the over-the-shoulder straps and some tie straps for the side of the body. For this kids’ costume, Oh Yay Studio cut 2 of the shoulder straps about 15” and 4 of the side straps about 8” long. Step 2 Step 2 Glue cloud together Glue your Halloween DIY costume together with Aleenes Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion! Begin by running a bead of glue along the outer edge of the cloud. To activate the adhesive, set your iron to high and iron the glued area in circular motions for 30 seconds. Be sure to keep a close eye on your project when ironing to prevent scorching. Flip and repeat on the backside. Pull on the fabric to test the bond and repeat ironing if necessary. Step 3 Step 3 Alternate gluing and stuffing Repeat ironing and gluing as you stuff the cloud with polyester fiberfill. Work from left to right and apply Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion in semi-circles across the fabric to give your Halloween DIY fluffy, cloud-like dimension. Be sure to add the ends of both of your straps along the top of the cloud and the 2 sides straps along the sides. Step 4 Step 4 Repeat and attach clouds Repeat steps 2 and 3 to glue and fill your second cloud. Attach the two clouds together through the top straps. Step 5 Step 5 Cut and prep raindrops Next, make some raindrops for your Halloween DIY costume. Cut varying lengths of ribbon, then cut twice as many raindrop shapes from blue fabric. Apply Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion and ribbon to one raindrop and place another raindrop on top. Iron to secure, then flip and repeat. Step 6 Step 6 Attach raindrops Use Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion to attach the raindrop strands to the inside of the rainclouds, ironing to secure into place. Attach the raindrops on both the front and back pieces to create a skirt of droplets for your Halloween DIY. This will give the illusion of raindrops falling from your cloud! Step 7 Step 7 Prepare the rainbow template This Halloween DIY wouldn't be complete without a rainbow costume headpiece! Prepare your rainbow by cutting a 10 foam circle in half. Create a template by tracing the half circle onto a piece of paper, then measure and draw 7 concentric arches onto the template. Step 8 Step 8 Cut rainbow colors from fabric Cut a strip of red fabric a 1/4 wider than the foam disc for your rainbow costume headpiece. Use your template to cut out the outer most half circle out of red fabric. Remember to cut two of every color one for the front and one for the back of the rainbow. Then cut off the first arch on the paper template and trace a slightly smaller arch onto the next color. Repeat this process with all the colors of your rainbow! Step 9 Step 9 Assemble the rainbow Once you've cut out all the colors, assemble your rainbow costume headpiece by gluing and ironing as you layer the colors together. Step 11 Step 11 Complete the rainbow This Halloween DIY is almost complete! Add the foam disc to your rainbow and secure into place with more glue and fabric. Glue and iron the rainbow onto your headband to complete the rainbow costume headpiece! Step 12 Step 12 Assemble the raincloud and rainbow costume The best part about this no-sew Halloween DIY is that you dont need to wait for the fabric glue to dry just slip the costume over your head and tie the sides together! Pair this rainbow costume with a cute umbrella and rain boots for a whimsical take on Halloween. This raincloud and rainbow costume is a breeze to make thanks to Aleenes Insta-Fuse Fabric Fusion! Raised Webbing Spider-Man Cosplay Mask with Puff Paint

Raised Webbing Spider-Man Cosplay Mask with Puff Paint

Everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has been a staple in comic books, movie screens, lunchboxes, and backpacks— it’s never hard to spot a Spider-Man on Halloween or at your local Comic Convention! Take your Spider-Man cosplay to the next level with Tulip! This tutorial from Scrapper Costuming will show you how to upgrade your store-bought Spidey costume using Tulip Puff Paints for raised webbing designs. What you need: Tulip Puff Paint, Black Tulip Black Fabric Marker (optional) Spider-Man Mask Cardboard Binder or sewing clips Before painting, tap the bottle down to prevent bubbles from ending up in your paint lines. If your Spider-Man mask doesn’t have printed webs, you may want to draw on some web guidelines with a Tulip Fabric Marker to trace with Puff Paint. For extra neat results on your Spider-Man cosplay, take a moment to practice drawing neat, straight lines, joining ends of paint lines, and changing the pressure to change the thickness of paint on a piece of scrap cardboard. Stretch the Spider-Man cosplay mask over a piece of cardboard and position it so the mask is taut and flat. Place clips on the end to help hold the mask in this position. Use black Puff Paint and trace the web pattern on the mask to match your webbing. Make sure to match the width of your paint lines to the width of the printed webs on your Spider-Man cosplay mask to ensure the most realistic effect! Try to keep a consistent speed while painting for crisp and neat lines. Allow the freshly-painted section to dry completely. Once the Puff Paint is dry, unmount the Spider-Man cosplay mask and reposition and clip it so that an unpainted section is stretched across the cardboard. Repeat steps 2-4 until all web lines on your Spider-Man cosplay mask are painted. A second layer of Puff Paint will give the webs an even more 3D appearance if a more prominent effect is desired! After painting is complete and all the Puff Paint has dried, remove the mask from your board and attach eyes for your mask. Try taking this custom cosplay a step further and use Puff Paint on the whole Spidey suit! Enjoy wearing your raised webbing Spider-Man cosplay whenever you need a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! How are you using Tulip Puff Paints to customize your cosplay? Whether it’s for Halloween or a Comic Convention, we want to see your pictures of Spider-Man cosplay with Tulip! Mikyla Creates will show you how to express your love for all things DIY with matching paint swatch costumes made with Tulip Tie Dye. These picture-perfect paint palettes make great costumes for the whole family—even the dog can get in on the fun! What you need: For the Paint Swatches: Tulip Tie Dye Party Kit Tulip Brush-on Fabric Paint Painter’s tape Paintbrush White fabric vinyl (optional) White cotton clothing (dress, t-shirt, onesie) For the Paint Palette: Aleene’s Ultimate Glue Felt (tan, blue, coral, mustard, pink) Scissors White elastic Paint palette printable template Before you get started on this project, wash the clothing you’re about to dye. Mix the dye solutions in your preferred colors by adding water to the dye bottle up to the fill line. Replace the cap and shake for 1 minute or until the dye is completely dissolved. Form the three sections of your paint swatch on each article of clothing by bunching the shirt vertically and then adding two rubber bands spaced evenly apart. Apply dye on the top section of fabric, checking to make sure dye has penetrated into creases and folds. Dilute the remaining dye with water and apply the solution to the middle section. Dilute the dye with water again and apply to the bottom section of the fabric. This will create a gradient effect on your costume! Cover the dyed fabric with plastic wrap to keep damp and let set for 6 to 8 hours, then wash and dry according to package instructions. Add two pieces of painter’s tape between each section to form lines, and then use white fabric paint between the tape. Touch up the white lines once you take the tape off. Use iron-on vinyl or paint to write the color names on each swatch. Allow paint to dry flat for at least 4 hours. To create the paint palette, trace the palette template and trace onto felt with a pencil and cut it out. Glue the felt paint splotches onto the palette with Aleene’s Ultimate Glue. Then attach your elastic by gluing each end to opposite sides of the back of the felt. Assemble your matching costumes and get ready for a night of fun! These costumes are perfect for the creative family who loves art and design. Are you using Tulip Tie Dye to create matching Halloween costumes? Show us how creative you can get! Glow in the Dark Halloween Ghost Costume

Glow in the Dark Halloween Ghost Costume

Published Date: October 11, 2021 Are you looking for a simple yet stunning costume for your kids this Halloween? Look no further! Ghosts are a spooky staple for the season, of course, but surely the classic white bedsheet could use an upgrade. Oh Yay Studio will show us how to create a frightfully fun glowing ghost costume using the Tulip Glow in the Dark Tie-Dye Kit! Supplies needed - Tulip One-Step Glow in the Dark Tie-Dye Kit - 100% cotton flat kid’s bedsheet - Scissors Instructions Prewash and dry your sheet, then choose your folding technique Before you get started, prewash and dry your bedsheet. Then choose your technique for folding and binding your project. In this example, Oh Yay Studio uses the accordion tie-dye technique. Prepare the tie-dye solutions Prepare the tie-dye solutions according to the package instructions. Add water to each bottle at the indicated “Water Fill” line. Reattach the nozzle with cap on and shake vigorously for a minimum of 1 minute. Remove the nozzle again and add the Glow Mixer to the indicated “Mixer Fill” line. Reattach the nozzle and cap and shake the solution for a minimum of 1 minute. Apply the dye solution to each section of the bedsheet. Apply your desired color of Glow Tie-Dye solution to each section, getting into all of the folds and crevices. Be sure to wear gloves during this step! To help the fabric absorb the dyes, work the solution into the fabric using your hands as you apply it. While applying they dye solution, shake regularly to ensure an even distribution of glow pigment in the dye. For best results, dye should be applied to a dry project. Allow the sheet to air dry for 24 hours, then machine wash and dry. When you’re finished applying the dye, remove the rubber bands and unfold your sheet. Lay the garment horizontally on the lined workspace to air dry for at least 24 hours to allow the dye to set. Flip the garment over halfway through the drying process to ensure that all layers dry thoroughly. Once it has thoroughly dried, machine wash your garment with cold water and a mild detergent on the “delicate” setting and allow to air dry. Measure and cut out eye holes Have your child try on the sheet, and measure approximately where their eyes are lined up on the fabric. It helps to mark the fabric so that you know exactly where to cut. Finally, cut out the two eye holes and your ghoulishly glowing ghost costume is ready! To charge the glow pigments, place the garment outside in the sunlight for 30-60 seconds or use a flashlight to recharge at night as needed. Cover your work surface with a disposable plastic surface cover, and wash all items you plan on tie dyeing for your easy hippie costumes. Leave them damp, or make sure to thoroughly dampen before adding the dyes. Choose tie-dye technique and mix dyes For your easy hippie costumes, you can choose any tie-dye technique you like. Craft Box Girls opted for the bullseye tie-dye technique, the spiral tie-dye technique, and the stripes tie-dye technique. Prep your dyes (no more than 24 hours before using) by adding water according to instructions. Twist T-shirt into a spiral For the spiral tie-dye T-shirt, lay the damp T-shirt out flat on your work surface. Pinch the fabric in the center of the shirt and twist until the entire shirt is swirled. Add dyes and process in microwave Secure the shirt by crisscrossing rubber bands around it, then squeeze your chosen dye colors onto the shirt however you like. Repeat on the back side, then place into the Two-Minute Tie-Dye Container and process according to instructions. NOTE: Make sure the T-shirt is completely damp before processing in the microwave. If any portion has dried out, even a little bit, re-dampen by spritzing with water. Wrap rubber bands around the top every few inches For the stripes tie-dye top, Craft Box Girls wrapped rubber bands around the top every few inches, including the sleeves. Apply dyes to top and process in microwave Apply dyes to the top, alternating colors in between the banded sections. Make sure to rotate the top as you apply the dyes so you get all sides. Once you’ve added the dyes, place in the container and process according to instructions. Pull fabric into a tube shape For the bullseye tie-dye T-shirt, pinch the damp shirt in the center of where you want your bullseye design to be, then pull the entire shirt into a tube shape. Apply dyes and process in microwave Wrap rubber bands around the shirt every few inches, then apply your chosen dye colors. Alternate colors between the banded sections, rotating the shirt as you apply the dyes so you get all sides. Once you’ve added all of your dyes, place into the container and process in the microwave according to instructions. Cut jeans at side seam To give your easy hippie costumes some extra fun flair, turn an old pair of jeans into bell bottoms. It’s so simple! Lay out your jeans on your work surface and cut a slit up the seam on both legs. Glue fabric in place Cut a swatch of fabric to fit in between the cut seams – this will help expand and widen the bottoms of your jean legs. Align your fabric inside of each leg, then add a line of Aleene’s® Fabric Fusion along each edge of the open seam. Press into place on the fabric swatch and let dry completely. Spiral tie-dye T-shirt Now it’s time to coordinate accessories to go with your easy hippie costumes! Bullseye tie-dye T-shirt You can cut leather string to make headbands, turn tassels into necklaces and add some 60s-style sunglasses! Tie-dye strips top Celebrate Halloween with peace, love and tie dye! Easy hippie costumes These easy hippie costumes will make a total statement no matter how you’re celebrating Halloween this year! The only problem is – which also happens to be the biggest problem – you don’t have a costume to wear! That’s why we tapped the creative brainpower of Mikyla Creates for these 3 last-minute Halloween costumes that are unique, fun, and totally easy to make. You only need a few supplies and COLORSHOT Premium Paint Products, of course. Come on procrastinator, your quick & easy tutorials are this way! What you need: ICE CREAM CONE COSTUME - COLORSHOT Premium Paint Markers (Brownie Points, Emoji, Aromatherapy, Island Girl, Summer Pedicure, Farmer’s Daughter, With a Twist) - White T-shirt - Tan cardstock - Headband - Cone-shaped party hat - Hot glue gun - Scissors - Ruler - Craft glue - Freezer paper PENCIL COSTUME - COLORSHOT Premium Acrylic Paint (Little Black Dress, Emoji) - Paintbrush - Yellow T-shirt - Headband - Tan cardstock - Hot glue gun SODA CAN COSTUME - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint in Princess Cut - Gray T-shirt - Cardboard - Headband - Scissors - Hot glue gunIce cream cone costume supplies To make your ice cream cone last-minute Halloween costume, you’ll be using COLORSHOT Paint Markers and just a few other craft supplies. Trace party hat and cut out First carefully take apart a cone-shaped party hat and lay it flat on brown cardstock. Trace around it with a pencil, then cut out the shape. Create grid lines on hat Use the Brownie Points Paint Marker and a ruler to create grid lines on the hat cutout. Form into cone shape and glue Add craft glue to one side of the hat, then wrap both ends around to form it into a cone shape. Press the side without glue into the glue on the other side. Glue cone hat to headband Use your hot glue gun to glue the ice cream cone hat in place on a headband. Draw sprinkles on T-shirt Place freezer paper or heavy cardstock in between the layers of your white T-shirt to help prevent any paint from soaking through to the back of the shirt. Use your COLORSHOT Paint Markers to draw “sprinkles” onto the T-shirt to your liking. Let it dry completely before wearing. Last-minute ice cream cone costume No tricks for this ice cream cone last-minute Halloween costume, but it’ll be a real treat to wear! Soda can costume supplies This soda can last-minute Halloween costume is even easier to DIY than the ice cream cone costume! The main item you’ll need is a piece of cardboard, which you can probably find in your recycling bin. Trace and cut out soda can tab shape Create a sketch of a soda can tab on a piece of paper, then cut out and trace onto a piece of cardboard. Cut out the soda can tab design from the cardboard. Spray paint soda can tab Working in a well-ventilated area, spray paint your cardboard soda can tab with several light coats of Princess Cut. Let dry in between coats, then repeat on the other side. You can also spray paint your headband to match! Glue cardboard tab onto headband Use your hot glue gun to glue the soda can tab in place on the headband. Soda Can Costume Pop on a matching gray T-shirt, and your soda can last-minute Halloween costume is ready to refresh everyone with its unique vibe. Now pour yourself a cold bevvy and enjoy your Halloween! Pencil costume supplies This final last-minute Halloween costume idea is perfect for writers, teachers or anyone who just really likes pencils. Trace hat and cut out As done with the ice cream cone last-minute Halloween costume, un-fasten the cone-shaped party hat and trace onto a piece of brown cardstock, then cut out. Form into a cone shape Apply glue to one side, then wrap each side around to form a cone. Press the sides together and let the glue dry. Paint cone hat Paint a wavy line around the base of the cone hat with Emoji Acrylic Paint, then fill in with paint all the way to the bottom edge, all around the base of the cone hat. Paint the pencil lead with Little Black Dress Acrylic Paint at the very tip of the cone hat. Let dry. Glue hat to headband Glue your pencil cone hat to a headband with your hot glue gun. Pencil last-minute Halloween costume Throw on a yellow T-shirt for a last-minute Halloween costume that deserves an A+, don’t you think? Sometimes it pays to procrastinate! How to Make a Halloween Wreath the Easy Way

How to Make a Halloween Wreath the Easy Way

Celebrate Halloween this year with spooktacular décor that’ll have your family screaming with delight! Craft Box Girls show you how to make a Halloween wreath the easy way with colorful fabrics, embroidery hoops and Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paints. Get ready to have the most boo-tiful decorations on the block! What you need: - Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paints in desired colors - Embroidery hoops - Aleene’s Fabric Fusion - Different fabrics and trims in Halloween colors - Pencil or chalk - Scissors - Chenille stems - Patterns (download from this post) Craft Box Girls will give you three different ideas on how to make a Halloween wreath using fabrics, embroidery hoops and Dimensional Paints. For this first quote art wreath, measure and cut the fabric so it’s slightly larger than the embroidery hoop. Glue trim onto the fabric. Craft Box Girls chose striped fabric for this wreath, and glued the trim along the striped lines. Secure the fabric between the top and bottom rings of the embroidery hoop, pulling the fabric taught as you secure it. Trim excess fabric from around the edges. Glue any fabric still remaining to the underside of the hoop. To transfer the “Double Double Toil and Trouble” pattern onto the fabric, first flip it over and use a pencil to color over the back side of the pattern. Once you’ve covered the back side of the pattern, flip it back over and center it on your fabric. Use your pencil to trace over the letters, applying enough pressure to lightly transfer the wording onto the fabric. Trace over the quote art on the fabric with your desired color of Tulip Dimensional Paint. Add any additional accent designs if desired, then let dry completely. For the BOO wreath, repeat the process of cutting your main fabric slightly larger than the embroidery hoop. Cut two pieces of ribbon that extend past the width of the embroidery hoop. Glue across the center of your fabric, then secure between the top and bottom hoops, making sure the fabric is taught. Cut off excess fabric. Print out the BOO pattern and flip it over so the back side is up. Use a pencil or chalk to color over the back side. Flip the BOO pattern back over and center it over the ribbon. Trace over the lettering, pressing firm enough to transfer the wording onto the ribbon. Use your chosen colors of Dimensional Paint to trace over BOO and the fabric designs as desired. Let dry completely. For the jack-o-lantern wreath, cut and secure your main fabric as noted in the steps above. Then glue trim around the circumference and let dry. Cut desired jack-o-lantern face shape from black felt or fabric, and glue in place centered on the wreath. Trace around facial features with Dimensional Paint and add eye accents as desired. Cut out a stem from felt, and coil chenille stems around your pencil to create curled vines. Glue everything in place at the top of the wreath, then let dry completely. Now that you know how to make a Halloween wreath in the easiest way, will you make just one? All three? Bullseye Berry Cotton Candy T-shirt For the berry cotton candy shirt, Handmade Charlotte used the bullseye tie-dye technique. To mix it up, she started the bullseye off to the side instead of the center of the shirt. To do this, lay out your shirt flat on your work surface and pinch the spot to the side of the shirt where you want the center of the bullseye to be. Pull the fabric upward into a tube shape and wrap a rubber band around the bunched fabric a few inches below the point to create the innermost circle. Continue to wrap additional rubber bands around the shirt to create more circles for the bullseye. Bullseye Berry Cotton Candy T-shirt Mix up your dyes and add a different dye color to each banded section. Once you are finished, process in the microwave according to instructions, then rinse and wash as instructed. Candy-Inspired Two-Minute Tie Dye Shirts How cool is this Double-Bubble Crumple T-shirt?! Halloween Decor DIY: Painted Pumpkins

Halloween Decor DIY: Painted Pumpkins

You can't have Halloween without pumpkins! If you're not into the ooey-gooey experience of carving, you can still create some killer pumpkins with spray paint. It's quick, easy, less mess and your pumpkins will last so you can put them out again next season if you so choose. It's a total creative win! All you need for this fun Halloween Decor DIY created by @citygirlmeetsfarmboy is some painter's tape and COLORSHOT for a quick and easy project you can do last minute with fab results. What you need: - COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (Orange Slice and Black Tie Affair used for this project) - Faux pumpkins (stacked or individual) - Painter's tape Make sure your pumpkins are clean and free of any dust. Choose your color palette - have fun with it! Use painter's tape to mask off any sections of your pumpkins you do not want painted. For this one, @citygirlmeetsfarmboy went with a striped motif on the bottom pumpkin, so to create this design, run strips of tape vertically and evenly spaced around pumpkin. Cover top portions of pumpkin with plastic and tape to protect from overspray. Spray several light coats of Black Tie Affair over the areas in between vertical tape strips. When you are happy with the coverage, remove tape and let dry. Cover the painted stripe section of the pumpkin with plastic to protect from overspray, as well as the middle section if leaving unpainted like this project. For the top section, spray bursts of Orange Slice and Black Tie Affair around pumpkin and let dry. Finish your pumpkin by tying a big Halloween-colored bow around it! Your porch is ready to be the coolest porch on the block with all of these fun painted Halloween Decor DIYs! Sometimes it pays to wait until the last minute to start decorating.
