These Lucky Clover Plants from Lia Griffith use colored papers and Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue® to create lifelike greenery you'll want to keep around the house long after spring is gone. Grab a bottle of glue and get your creativity blooming with this paper craft that'll look lovely on display in your home or for adding some life to your work space! What you need: - Aleene's Original Tacky Glue - Text weight paper - green, light pink, pastel yellow - Brush-tip marker - deep purple - 24-gauge paper-covered wire - Floral tape - Floral foam - Planters - Craft scissors - Cutting machine (optional) - Curling tool - Needlenose pliers/wire cutter Download the template from Lia Griffith here. Note: There are two sizes of clover leaves so you can create a large or small lucky clover plant. Use scissors or a cutting machine to cut papers according to the template for clover leaves, flowers and stamens. Cut as many as desired for your plant, cutting two leaves for every "clover leaf" for the front and back of leaf. Shade the base halves of clover leaves with a deep purple marker. Flip clover leaves over and apply Tacky Glue to backsides. Place one end of wire in glue. Press a second leaf over wire and base leaf to sandwich wire in between. Repeat for others and let dry. Gather four wired leaves together and wrap floral tape around wires to hold together. Arrange leaves into clover and bend wires out. Use a curling tool to gently curl each leaf down. To create clover flowers, first glue stamen piece around the tip of a wire. Apply Tacky Glue to the base of the end petal on each flower piece. Wrap flower petals around wired stamen and secure first petal to last petal by pressing into glue. Use a curling tool to gently curl flower petals down. Place floral foam into a small pot. Add moss into pot to cover the floral foam. Push clovers and flowers into floral foam and arrange plant for displaying. These paper plants look as pretty as the real deal, and they'll last all year long! Make one for yourself or as a special spring gift for family and friends.

Easy Paper Mache Recipes
Paper mache is an art form that combines paper with a sticky substance like glue that hardens once dry. Why would anyone want to try this messy art? People of all ages and skills love paper mache because it's such a versatile art form. You can mold it into any shape such as a mask or sculpture. It's lightweight. You can paint it and decorate it any way you like. Those are just a few reasons! Besides, sometimes it's just fun to get your hands messy, don't you think? If you're looking for paper mache recipes, you've come to the right place! Here are a few easy ideas to get you inspired:The Old-Fashioned Paper Mache RecipeWe don't know about you, but when some of us were in school, the way we learned to make paper mache glue was with flour and water. Yep! Good ol' flour and water - no paper glue needed. Some recipes call for equal parts flour and water, or 1 part flour to 2 parts water. It's all according to preference. Whisk your flour and water mixture until there aren't any clumps, then it's time to coat your paper strips and create your project.Tacky Glue Paper Mache RecipeWe might be biased, but we think glue is better for paper mache! Especially a glue made to work with paper. Why do we think this? Glue is a better adhesive than flour, it dries clear, and makes a better base for painting. (And hey, then you can save your flour for making something yummy like cookies!) Aleene's Original Tacky Glue is a great option for paper mache because it's nontoxic and safe to work with. Plus it has good holding power. For your Tacky Glue paper mache recipe, simply mix 1 part water with 1 part glue. Whisk until it's evenly mixed, then dip your strips of paper into the mix and start layering on your project. Decoupage Paper Mache RecipeIf you want to skip all of the mixing and get straight to your paper mache project, try Aleene's Premium Decoupage instead. It works the same way! Decoupage is a good glue for paper, and it works as a sealer too. If you decide to use decoupage for paper mache, just make sure to brush some onto the object you are molding your paper to. Then brush more onto your paper once you have it pressed onto the mold. So easy, right? Feel free to add extra paper layers, because decoupage can be layered too! What's the best kind of paper to use for paper mache art? Soft paper is the best paper to use for paper mache because it's much easier to mold, and it absorbs the glue better for a stiffer hold once dry. Good paper options to try for paper mache are newspaper, tissue paper, paper towels, paper doilies, and even thin wrapping paper.Whatever paper mache recipe you decide to try, remember to make sure you use a glue that dries clear (most do, but it's good to double check). This makes a better base for painting your paper mache project! We're now feeling inspired to start a new project, how about you? DIY Book Page Pumpkin
It’s almost that time of year again! The cooler weather, changing colors, and pumpkin spice lattes. Oh fall how I love you so. There is no doubt pumpkins are a familiar sight this time of year and today I’m sharing how to bring some fall decor to your home with a few supplies a book and Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue. What you need: Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue Paperback book Craft knife Scissors Pencil Self-healing cutting mat Painter's sponge Craft Paint Twine Tree twigs or cinnamon sticks First thing you’ll have to do is to remove the front and back cover. Sketch out a pumpkin to fit the size of your book when folded this will be your cutting template. You can also just print out a pumpkin and modify the image to fit your book. Fold the pumpkin sketch in half; you’re only going to use one half of the template. Before cutting out the template, make sure the pumpkin half will actually fit within the book you plan to cut. Trim the template accordingly to get the perfect fit for the book. Slide the self-healing mat under 5-6 pages. Place the template on top of the pages trace with a pencil and carefully use the X-Acto knife to cut the pages along the line. Limit the number of pages you cut at one time to about 5-6. If you stack too many pages, the knife may not cut through them cleanly. After cutting the first set, slide the mat under the next stack of pages and repeat until you get to the end of the book. If you want to add some charm to your pumpkin, Fold the book and use a sponge brush to apply several coats of craft paint across the outside of the pages. Allow to dry. Use Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue to connect the two sides of the book together along the spine. You may also want to glue the two end pages together for a better hold. Save

This two part craft project starts with making planets from dried clear glue, then adding them to a paper plate diorama! What you need: Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue Paper cups Glitter Food coloring Paper plates Acrylic paint Stencil brush Embellishments like pom-poms and pipe cleaners For the glue planets cut some paper cups and add a little glitter to each cup. Put about a teaspoon of Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue into separate cups. Add only two drops of food coloring. Pour the glue into the cups with the glitter, it's important that you don't stir the glue and food coloring together, you want the food coloring to look swirly. Use a craft stick to gently even out the glue. Let the glue dry really well, this will take several days. When dry peel off the cup and trim the excess. For the paper plate diorama, cut the center of one plate and paint it silver. Paint a second plate black, add in some color if you'd like. Let it dry well. Splatter paint the background with a stencil brush and white paint, this will create lots of stars. Glue on your planets and any other details you'd like. Glue on the silver plate and add a little green alien to complete the scene!
