For all of the forever mermaids out there, this ocean-themed backpack is so easy to make with Tulip Puff Paints in pretty metallic colors. Maybe you don't need to haul around a big backpack, or maybe you're looking for a flashy way to store your makeup or other school essentials. Picture of DIY Christmas Light Towels

DIY Christmas Light Towels

The one area of my home that always seems to lack Christmas decorations is the kitchen, so these simple-to-make Christmas light towels were the perfect way to add a little cheer. With Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paints, the design is not only easy to draw but stands up against heavy use and washes. Package them up for a thoughtful Christmas gift, or use them all season-long! What you need: Dish towels, ironed and free of creases Pencil Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint, black and assorted colors Step 1: Fold the dish towel in half and lay on a flat surface. Use the pencil to draw the light cord, making loops across the towel in two rows. Step 2: Trace the pencil marks with black Tulip paint. Step 3: Determine your desired order of colors. Every approximate inch along the black cord, paint an oval shape, alternating colors all the way across the towel. This creates the colored "bulbs." Step 4: Once all of the bulbs have been painted, use the black paint again to connect the bulbs to the cord, painting a small square "fixture" over the top of the oval. Set aside to dry overnight before using.

Picture of DIY Puffy Paint Non-Slip Socks

DIY Puffy Paint Non-Slip Socks

If you’re a parent you know how valuable non-slip socks are for the little ones. Especially if you have hardwood in your home; those little gummy dots on the bottom are pretty much life savers. Unfortunately, not all socks are made like that, but that’s okay because you can make them yourself! Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint makes it easy to create one-of-a-kind socks that’ll keep you from slipping up. What you need: -Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint in desired colors -Socks -Cardboard -Scissors Steps First take the scissors and cut out a piece of cardboard that will fit into the socks you’re using.  Place the cardboard into the socks. This prevents the fabric paint from bleeding through to the other side. Now take the fabric paint and start designing your socks. This is where you let your creative juices flow! Once you’re done designing your socks, lay them flat and let them dry for 4 hours.     Now that they are dry, they’re ready to wear! These make great as gifts! Now you don’t have to worry about slipping and sliding around the house.

How To Splatter Paint Jeans

How To Splatter Paint Jeans

Splattering paint on a pair of jeans might seem like it's a little nerve wracking, but with this fool-proof tutorial, there is really no way to mess up. And the end result is a pair of super chic splatter paint jeans! What you need: -Tulip Soft Fabric Paint in a variety of colors-Jeans-Paintbrushes Start by splattering your first color of Tulip Soft Fabric Paint onto the jeans. Use your fingers to smudge some of the paint to give a smeared effect. You can also use a paintbrush or sponge brush to apply some of the paint colors onto the pants for a variated look. Let sit at least 2 minutes before applying the next color. And if you really want to commit to this project, stick your fingers into the next color and have fun splattering away! This gives the splatters a different look than the brush splatters, and it’s also really fun. Feel free to use your fingers to smudge some of the paint and blend it together with the other colors. I like to switch up my splattering methods for a variety of looks. So I used the sponge to try and splatter the orange paint, but I kept the use of orange very light because I didn't want to muddy the paint. You'll have to be the judge of how much of a certain color you add to your jeans based on the colors you are using. Continue with splattering another color of paint to your liking. Finish the look by splattering White Soft Paint all over as an accent if you like. Let dry completely and wait at least 72 hours before washing. Voila!

Picture of Elegant Swirl Ornaments

Elegant Swirl Ornaments

That box of ornaments you bought last year still gathering dust in the garage? Turn them into elegant, colorful glass ornaments using Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint! What you need: Tulip Shiny Puff Paint Glass ornaments Bamboo skewers Foam sheet to stick the skewers into Ribbon (optional) Carefully remove the metal topper from the glass ornament. Keep this handy – you’ll need to replace it after the paint is dry so you can hang the ornament. Holding the glass ornament in your hand, start drawing swirls all over the ornament using Tulip Shiny Puff Paint. I like to start at the opening in the glass, where I removed the metal topper. Once you’ve covered about half of the glass ornament with paint swirls, it gets trickier to hold the ornament. Stick a bamboo skewer into a sheet of craft foam and slip the ornament onto the skewer. Continue adding paint swirls until the entire ornament is covered. Allow the ornament to dry for at least an hour before handling. Insert the metal topper into the top of the of the ornament. Tie a ribbon in a bow to the wire loop sticking out of the top of the topper. Then add a wire ornament hook and display on the tree. You can make sets of these in a single color, in multiple colors, or make the swirls on the one ornament with various colors of paint.
