Ghost costumes are an enduring favorite during Halloween, but the traditional white bedsheet ensemble is overdue for a trendy update. Allow Oh Yay Studio to lead the way in constructing a captivating and glow-in-the-dark ghost costume with the Tulip Glow in the Dark Tie-Dye Kit. Prepare for a Halloween appearance that is not only memorable but also radiates an enchanting luminescence! Materials You'll Need: Tulip One-Step Glow in the Dark Tie-Dye Kit Flat kid’s bedsheet (100% cotton) Scissors Instructions:Step 1: Prep Your SheetFirstly, ensure to prewash and thoroughly dry your kid's cotton bedsheet. Decide on the folding method; here, we follow Oh Yay Studio’s accordion tie-dye technique.Step 2: Mix the Tie-Dye SolutionsAdhering to the package directions, prepare the tie-dye solutions. Fill each bottle up to the marked “Water Fill” line, then securely reattach the nozzle and cap. Shake each bottle energetically for at least a minute. Remove the cap again, add the Glow Mixer up to the “Mixer Fill” line, replace the nozzle and cap, and shake for an additional minute.Step 3: ApplicationWith gloves on, meticulously apply your chosen Glow Tie-Dye color to every section of the folded bedsheet, ensuring it seeps into all the nooks and crannies. While applying, continuously work the solution into the fabric and shake the bottle periodically for even glow pigment distribution. Ensure the bedsheet is dry before application for optimal results.Step 4: Drying & WashingAfter the application, unfold the bedsheet and lay it flat to air-dry for 24 hours, allowing the dye to set in. For even drying, flip the sheet midway through the drying process. Upon drying, wash it with cold water and mild detergent on a delicate setting, then air-dry.Step 5: Eye Holes CreationHave your child wear the sheet, marking the fabric where their eyes align. Cut out the eye holes carefully, and voila, your glowing ghost costume is ready to steal the show! Charge the glow pigments by exposing the costume to sunlight for 30-60 seconds or use a flashlight for night-time recharging.Get Creative! We’d love to see the innovative costumes you come up with using the Tulip Tie Dye Kit this Halloween! How to do Watercolor Designs on Fabric with Fabric Markers

While you’re probably ready to head out for some fun adventures, you might still need your face mask for certain activities. The Colorventurer will show you how to easily decorate a simple white cotton face mask with a beautiful bouquet of color using Tulip Watercolor Fabric Markers and Puff Paint. Just a little bit of creativity will go a long way in staying safe in bright summery style while you’re out and about! And to keep the watercolor fun going, we've added a few watercolor on fabric projects to try with Tulip Fabric Markers and Tie Dyes! What you need: - Tulip Watercolor Fabric Markers - Tulip Puff Paint– desired colors - White cotton face mask - A circular container to secure your mask on for painting This easy Watercolor Floral Face Mask project only requires a few supplies, and is ready to wear in no time! First make sure your mask has been washed and dried (without fabric softener). Before getting started on decorating your face mask, it helps to secure it to a nice rounded object to fully stretch it out and help it remain stable as you decorate it. Here are The Colorventurer’s tips on how to create each flower shown: Cabbage Rose: Using the fuchsia Fabric Marker (or color of choice), start by drawing a small swirl shape, then create a few curved lines around the swirl to expand the flower. Switch to another color to add dimension to the flower design with a few more concentric curved lines. With the green marker, draw leaves on either side of the cabbage rose. To add dimension to the leaves and to give it that watercolor effect, use the yellow marker on the edges of the leaves. Daisy: Draw a yellow center with the yellow Fabric Marker, then make petals around it with the fuchsia or other desired marker color. Use the purple marker to draw thin lines onto the petals. Lastly, add some leaves to the flower with the green marker. Cistus: Draw and fill in the flower's petals with the orange Fabric Marker. To create the dots in the center of the flower, simply tap the red and fuchsia markers around the center of the flower. Complete the flower with some leaves. Tulip: With the yellow Fabric Marker, create the center of the tulip, then leaving a small gap between each section, draw the top and outside petals on both sides. Next, with the orange fabric marker, fill in the gaps. Add a stem and leaves with the green and yellow markers. Snapdragon: Draw a stem with the green Fabric Marker, then with the yellow fabric marker, create a swirl at the top of the stem. To add some dimension to the flower, take the red marker and add some smaller swirls within the yellow—the color will blend out into the yellow of the snapdragon. To make the flowers pop once the mask is dry, accent the designs with Dimensional Paints in either coordinating colors, or contrasting shades if you’re feeling extra bold! Let dry completely. Now your pretty floral face mask is ready any time you need it while out and about! What other watercolor crafts will you create with Tulip? Here’s a few more ideas for using Tulip Fabric Markers and Tie Dye to watercolor on fabrics: Does your living room need a refresh? These pastel watercolor tassel pillows are the perfect accent for your couch! Start with plain pillowcases and use Tulip Fabric Markers and rubbing alcohol to create diffused watercolor stripes. It’s that easy to turn your drawn designs into watercolor on fabric! Glue on some fun trims and embellishments, and you have a quick and easy no-sew throw pillow! This minimalist flower tote is a colorful and simple watercolor on fabric project to try! Use Tulip Fabric Markers to draw each flower’s stem—and get creative with it! Then, add your beautiful watercolor blooms with Tulip Watercolor Fabric Markers. Spray with rubbing alcohol to create dreamy watercolor effects! You just can’t get cuteness like this in stores! Here’s another cool way to watercolor on fabric! Use Tulip Fabric Markers to draw the outline of a butterfly, then use the Tulip Watercolor Brushes to diffuse and blend the colors! Once dry, use Fabric Markers to add finishing details to your design. Now you’ve got a wonderful wearable watercolor work of art! Fill your Tulip Watercolor Brushes with Tulip One-Step Tie Dye for a different watercolor on fabric experience! To create a fun floral pattern like this, simply brush on the dye and squeeze the barrel to control the flow, then rinse and repeat for each color. For more diffused designs, fill your brush with water and go over your tie-dyed patterns! The Tulip Watercolor Brushes are also great for small watercolor on fabric projects, like making a watercolor tie-dye hat! You won’t have to worry about bunching and binding with rubber bands— just brush on the One-Step Tie Dye and free-hand your tie dye! What else will you watercolor with Tulip? DIY Snowman Face Mask

Make a Snowman Face Mask with Fabric Markers

Stay safe this winter with a fun face mask that even Frosty the Snowman would enjoy! The Color Venturer will show you how to easily decorate a simple white face mask in winter wonder style with nontoxic Tulip Fabric Markers. Just a little bit of creativity will go a long way in spreading cheer in a safe way while you’re out and about this winter! What you need: - Tulip Fabric Markers (any pack with orange and black) - White Cotton Face Mask - Pencil This quick and easy snowman face mask project only requires a few supplies, and can be ready to wear the same day! First make sure your mask has been washed and dried (without fabric softener). For this project, you’ll only need the orange and black Fabric Markers from your pack (unless you want to get extra colorful with yours!). Use a pencil to lightly sketch out a carrot nose on your mask. The Color Venturer recommends putting on the mask and marking where your nose is to help with the placement of the carrot nose design. Do the same for your mouth. If you mess up, don’t worry, you can erase the pencil markings and adjust your design to your liking. Once you’re happy with your carrot nose design, color it in with the orange Fabric Marker. Once you’re happy with your mouth design, color in the circles with the black Fabric Marker. When complete, let everything fully dry. This custom face mask is “snow” cute, isn’t it? This would make a great crafting activity for the whole family, or you could even make some snowman face masks as gifts this year for everyone on your list! Easy DIY Donut Clutch Purse

Easy DIY Donut Clutch

June 5 is National Donut Day, and if that’s not reason enough to celebrate with some sugary, frosted goodness, we don’t know what is. We teamed up with Mikyla Creates to show you how to sprinkle some extra creativity into your day with a sweet donut-themed clutch that’s perfect for National Donut Day, and any other everyday adventure. You only need a few simple craft supplies like Tulip Fabric Markers some white fabric, and a cute clutch (you probably already have) to get this fun project under way. The best part about this project is that once your new donut clutch is complete, you can take it out and treat yourself to the real deal! What you need: - Tulip Fabric Markers - Clutch bag - White fabric - Aleene’s Quick Dry Fabric Fusion - 2 Bowls (one for outer ring of donut shape and one for inner ring) - Embroidery thread (desired color) - Embroidery needle - Scratch paper - Pencil - Scissors For your “donut” fabric, you can use any scrap fabric you have, like a white T-shirt, an old tote, canvas fabric, etc. Make sure it’s clean and ironed smooth before starting your project. Choose bowls the size of the donut template you want to create for your clutch. Trace the large bowl first onto a piece of scratch paper, then the smaller one in the center of the large one. Cut out your donut shape from the paper and test it against your clutch to make sure it fits how you like it. Adjust the size if needed. If you want, you can practice drawing sprinkles on your paper template before starting on your fabric! When you’re ready, place your paper donut template onto your white fabric and lightly trace it with a pencil. Cut out. Cut out donut shape from fabric. Choose the color palette you’d like for your sprinkles and draw onto your cut fabric. Let dry completely. Optional: Use embroidery thread to create a simple stitched line around the edges of your donut shape. (This just adds extra color and personality to your donut design, but isn’t necessary if you don’t feel like adding it.) Use Aleene’s Quick Dry Fabric Fusion to glue your donut fabric in place on the top of the clutch. Let dry completely before using. Who’s ready to celebrate National Donut Day (or let’s be real – donuts in general) in style? Grab your new clutch and get started on that sugar rush!

Tulip Palm Leaf Baseball Cap

Palm Leaf Baseball Cap

At Tulip, we love seeing the many ways makers and creators put our products to good use. We're tipping our hat to our talented friend Holly at Club Crafted for creating this fun and fabulous Palm Leaf Baseball Cap! Not only is it the freshest thing we’ve seen since Will Smith hailed a taxi to his new home in Bel-Air, we also know that Holly made it in five minutes, using nothing but a hat, a stencil, and our Tulip Neon Fabric Markers. A simple, quick, budget-friendly project with super fashionable results? Sign us up! If palm leaves aren’t your thing (WHY do you hate California?), keep in mind that you can swap out your stencil choice for anything under the sun. Speaking of: You know who also loves palm leaves? The sun! What you need: - Tulip Graffiti Fabric Markers - Neon Pack - Baseball cap - Sticky stencil in design of choice Once you’ve settled on your hat and stencil options (we think that making a commitment to colors and design is sometimes the hardest part of these types of projects), peel and press the stencil onto a section of the cap. Color in the stencil openings using one of the Fabric Markers, using your free hand for extra support if needed. Once you’ve finished coloring in the designs, carefully peel the stencil off the cap. Place it elsewhere on the cap and repeat the process, with as many colors as you’d like, until you’re satisfied with the results. Don’t shy away from overlapping placement on occasion. This helps create depth! That’s it! And the best part of using Tulip Fabric Markers? No heat setting necessary - just let it air dry for permanent results. Sunny days are here again - so put your cute new cap on and get out there and enjoy the weather!

When you're finished, remove the strips of tape and let the ink dry completely. Create your quote art stencil on card stock or tracing paper. DIY Monstera Leaf Marker Jeans

I live in denim most of the time, but sometimes you just have to mix it up! I grabbed a pair of old white jeans and gave them a tropical makeover with a monstera leaf stencil and Tulip Fabric Markers cascading down the side of the pants. In 10 minutes, I completely refreshed a pair of pants, making me much more excited to incorporate them back into my wardrobe this spring! What you need: Tulip Fabric Markers (light and dark green) Denim pants Monstera leaf stencil (sticky stencil recommended) Step 1: Fold the pants so that the side seam is facing flat up. Step 2: Press the stencil along the seam at an angle. Step 3: Outline the stencil with a light green Tulip Fabric Marker, then remove it and fill in the pattern entirely. Step 4: Replace the stencil at a different angle, overlapping the light green pattern slightly. Step 5: Outline the stencil with a dark green Tulip Fabric Marker and remove the stencil. Picture of First Kiss Canvas High Tops

First Kiss Canvas High Tops

These kicks are sweeter than chocolate kisses! These pouty little high tops are everything right now. If you've been looking for your “solemate,” look no further. With a little DIY magic and Tulip Permanent Fabric Markers, these babies are sure to capture your heart. What you need: - Tulip Permanent Fabric Markers 20 Pack - Canvas high top shoes Start by drawing lips outlines all over the shoes. I just free handed them in the lightest pink so I could gradually build up the color. But if you’re not comfortable free the handing lip designs, you can always print out your favorite lip image and use that to trace lips onto the shoes. Once my lip outlines were drawn out with the light pink fine tip marker, I filled them in using the red fabric marker. Next, take the black marker to add a little bit of shading to the lips to help give them some contrast and definition. And just like that, you are ready to seal it with a kiss!

Picture of Best Friends Marker T-shirt

Best Friends Marker T-shirt

We all have that childhood best friend who we can tell absolutely everything to. You can find bestie gear pretty much everywhere you go but why buy BFF t-shirt when you can have more fun making then with your best friend. All you need is a t-shirt and Tulip Permanent Fabric Markers. What you need: Tulip Permanent Fabric Markers 5 Pack Variety PackT-shirtFreezer PaperIronPrinter Start by printing out the best friend’s pattern and enlarging it to which ever size you’d like. Cut some freezer paper to fit inside the shirts. Make sure to place the shiny side of the freezer paper up towards the side you will be drawing on. Place the iron on cotton setting over the top of the shirt and adhere the freezer paper and shirt together. This will temporarily keep your fabric nice and stiff to draw on. Once you have the freezer paper on slide the best friend printout into the shirt. I like using Tulip’s Permanent Fabric Markers Variety Pack because I have marker tip options. I started with a medium tip to draw the surrounding heart. I then moved on to the best Friend part and used the large chisel tip to fill in each letter. And you can do small touch ups around the letters with the fine point markers. Two of the girls in the office, Bree and Rochelle modeled the finished shirts for me. They are actually IRL best friends. I couldn't have planned for better models!

Picture of Geometric Triangle Marker Tote

Geometric Triangle Marker Tote

I’m not sure about you, but I don’t think I will ever have enough bags, purses or totes! I love grabbing one when on the go and it’s great to have a few for different occasions. What I love most about totes is the versatility of them they pretty much work with anything and are perfect for on the go. But it gets better when you personalize your own tote, and the possibilities are endless with Tulip Multi Fine Fabric Markers. What you need: Tulip Multi Fine 20pk Permanent Fabric Markers8" x 10" CanvasCardstockCraft KnifeTape I like to start with a clean white tote, think of it as a blank canvas. For this tote I wanted to transform it into a geometric semi monochromatic masterpiece. I began by cutting out triangles out of cardstock, then used a water erasable marker to trace around the triangles. You can find this marker at any craft store in the sewing department. Once I covered the entire tote in a triangle pattern, I began coloring the triangles in with the fabric Markers. I chose three color families to color in the triangles. I started with the green marker family and staggered the colors in no particular pattern. As I was coloring I left some triangles white. Next I moved on the blue marker family and repeated the process. I repeated the same process with the purple marker family. A cool trick to getting your colors bright an vibrate is to fill the entire tringle as you normally would, wait a few seconds and then go over it with the tip of the marker to make the colors brighter. I love how vibrant it turned out! And just like that you have yourself a new tote to add to your collection.
