DIY Rhinestone Sunglasses with Liquid Fusion

DIY Rhinestone Sunglasses with Liquid Fusion

Add some sparkle to your fun in the sun with a little help from Liquid Fusion! In this easy tutorial, Freshly Fuji will show you how to glam up your sunglasses with rhinestones for a pair with love-at-first-sight effects. Grab your glue and get ready to make it a bright, sunshiny day! What you need: - Liquid Fusion Performance Adhesive - Sunglasses - Toothpicks - Crystal rhinestones in assorted sizes - Flower charms (optional) - Rubbing alcohol - Cotton balls - Tweezers - Wood skewers - Paper plate - Votive candleStep 1 We’re loving these fun heart-shaped sunglasses, but you can opt for any shape you like! Liquid Fusion is safe to use – and works great on – a variety of materials. Step 2 Before getting to the glue step, clean your sunglasses with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball to remove any dust, oils or prints that could prevent the glue from properly adhering. Step 3 Next make a custom rhinestone picker! Light your candle and let the wax start to melt and pool. Extinguish the candle and dip the pointed end of your wood skewer into the wax, slowly turning it to coat the entire tip. Remove the skewer and allow the wax to cool and harden. The wax will help you easily pick up rhinestones and transfer them to the sunglasses frame. Step 4 This step is optional, but we think its a cute addition for your frames! Apply Liquid Fusion to the top corner (or where ever you like) and use a toothpick to help smooth it out into an even layer. Press the charms into the glue and adjust if needed. Step 5 Repeat the process to glue charms on the other side. Or you can vary your design and glue them in another spot! Step 6 Working in small sections at a time, apply some Liquid Fusion to the frames and use a toothpick to help smooth it out into an even layer. Touch the tip of your waxed skewer to the top of a rhinestone, pick it up, and place into the glue on the frames. Continue this process, working your way around the frames. Youll likely want to vary the sizes of your rhinestones as you work, so you can cover all exposed areas of the frames. Step 7 Once your frames are covered in glitz and glamour, let them dry and the glue cure completely before wearing. Step 8 Now its time to get out there and shine! Not into rhinestones? You can use this same technique to glue other charms and items onto your sunglasses. Get creative with your customization! Step 9 What other sparkling creations are you making with Liquid Fusion? Best DIY Rhinestone Craft Projects with Liquid Fusion Glue:

Best DIY Rhinestone Craft Projects with Liquid Fusion Glue:

No matter what kind of DIY you’re decking out in rhinestones, keep it sparkling to perfection with Liquid Fusion Performance Adhesive. This versatile, UV-resistant glue offers maximum staying power that’s still gentle enough to work with delicate rhinestones. (And it’s crystal clear too!) What you need: - Liquid Fusion Performance Adhesive - Shoes - Tumbler/phone case/any item for decorating - Rhinestones – various sizes - Colored pencil - Craft stickStep 1 For this tutorial on how to use Liquid Fusion for your rhinestone DIYs, we’ll be featuring shoes, but you can use these same tips for any project you decide to work on! First make sure that whatever you are adding some bling to, the surface is clean, dry and free of dust and prints for best results. Step 2 Working in smaller sections at a time (to give yourself enough time to apply rhinestones to the section of glue), apply Liquid Fusion to your project surface. Step 3 Use a craft stick to help smooth out the glue into an even layer on your project. (You dont want it to be too thick.) Step 4 Pro tip for adding rhinestones: you can use tweezers to pick up individual rhinestones, or you can use the tip of a colored pencil or sharp crayon. Gently but firmly press the tip onto the top of the rhinestone; the wax from the color will grab onto the rhinestone for easily lifting and transporting the rhinestone to your project surface. Step 5 Press the rhinestone into the Liquid Fusion on your project with the colored pencil tip. Step 6 Continue adding Liquid Fusion in sections on your project surface and pressing rhinestones into the glue. Try alternating different sizes of rhinestones to fill in spaces for a nice sparkling finish without gaps. Once youre happy with the look, let the glue dry completely according to instructions. Step 7 Want your coffee with a latte sparkle? You can use Liquid Fusion to glue rhinestones onto your favorite tumbler too! (Liquid Fusion is waterproof, so you can hand wash your cup without worry.) Step 8 You can also put some shine on speed dial with Liquid Fusion! Use the same steps above to glue rhinestones onto your phone case. This is a great way to give some extra life to a case thats starting to look a little dingy and beat up. Step 9 Start your car in style with a rhinestone keychain! Youll never lose your keys again with sparkle that you can spot anywhere. What other rhinestone creations are you making with Liquid Fusion? Wood Craft Idea: DIY Beaded Mirror

Wood Craft Idea: DIY Beaded Mirror

If you're looking for a way to incorporate more natural elements into your home, you're not alone! This trend isn't going away any time soon, nor should it. There's something so simply elegant about earthmade materials like wood or stone, and textiles like wool and canvas. This wood craft idea is an easy way to add a natural touch to your space with something you already have or can find fairly inexpensively at a yard sale or thrift shop - a mirror! With some dye, unfinished wood beads and Aleene's® DIY Craft Super Glue, this wood craft idea will become a stunning new statement piece for your home. What you need: - Aleene's DIY Craft Super Glue - Tulip® Blue One-Step Tie-Dye Kit - Mirror (frameless) - 25 mm Round unfinished wood beads - Plastic tub - Skewer or plastic utensil - Rope or heavy natural fiber for hanging mirror If your mirror has an existing frame, remove the mirror from the frame (if you can). You'll want a nice smooth surface to work on. (Or you could absolutely glue your wood beads around a frame as well. It's your wood craft - have fun with it!) Add water to your Blue dye bottle and shake to mix. Pour the dye into a plastic bin and add the beads to the dye solution. Use a skewer or plastic utensil that you can throw away to mix the beads around, making sure they are entirely covered with dye. Let soak about 20 minutes. Once saturated with dye, remove them from the dye bath and let dry completely. Add a dot of Craft Super Glue to the bottom of a dry bead (or the mirror itself) and press in place along the rim of mirror. Repeat process until the entire rim is covered with wood beads. Let dry completely. Add a rope hanger and mount. Isn't this wood craft so pretty?! Such an easy way to upgrade your mirror to an eyecatching statement piece that also incorporates natural elements.
