Let It Shine T-shirt

Let It Shine T-shirt

Let your stellar fashion sense shine with a DIY tee that looks designer! This quick and easy tutorial will show you why painter's tape and Tulip® ColorShot should be your new best friends. Supplies Tulip ColorShot Instant Fabric Color, Silver Tablecoth Tape Freezer paper Steps: Step 1: Wash and dry your shirt without fabric softener before you start your project. Make sure to cover your work surface with a disposable tablecloth and insert freezer paper or a piece of cardboard into your shirt to prevent any potential paint seepage to the backside. Step 2: Use painter's tape to block off a large square section on the front of your shirt, then run random strips of tape across the square to create a cool, geometric design. Step 3: After you've created a design you like, tape paper towels around the rest of your shirt to protect it from potential overspray. Step 4: Spray several light coats of ColorShot spray over your design, letting each coat dry a few minutes before adding another. Step 5: Once you're happy with your paint coverage, remove the strips of tape and let your shirt dry completely. See how easy it is to make something so chic? It's up to you whether you want to let your friends in on your little secret!

Four rainbow-colored projects (2 shoes & 2 shirts) with fabric paints, markers and tie dye on a purple background.

Create in Full Color: Rainbow DIY Projects for Everyone

Rainbows have a way of bringing every color, style, and personality together—and these four DIY projects are all about celebrating that vibrant, all-inclusive creativity. From bold tie-dye shirts to colorful custom shoes, each craft is inspired by the joy of self-expression and making something uniquely you. #1 Heart Tie-Dye Resist T-shirt This fun shirt we like to say is “perfectly imperfect.” Add little glue hearts to act as a barrier resist, then slowly add your tie dye inside the hearts with a paintbrush. Let it set for 6-8 hours. Then wash the glue away. Some of the dye may sneak under the glue making adorable little altered heart designs. #2 Rainbow Checkered Slip-on Shoes This is where a stencil works best. Place your stencil on canvas shoes and add your rainbow colors in a color pattern of choice. #3 Splatter Paint Shoes There are no rules with this one! Use a paintbrush to splatter, flick and drip rainbow colors on your shoes to make them one of a kind. #4 Watercolor Tie-Dye Button Shirt Apply your dye to your cotton button-down shirt wherever you want and then use a paintbrush dipped in water to “stretch out” the dye color into a watercolor effect. You can dye your eggs like you traditionally do, and once they’re dry, decorate them with fun dimensional designs in bright colors. While you’re out scoring all of those Easter eggs ahead of other family members, you’re going to need a bag to stash them in! This cute Easter project turns an ordinary tote into a total winner with a little help from everyone’s favorite marshmallow treats – Peeps®! Use these sugary little bunnies to help stamp on perfect Peep designs with Tulip Brush-On Fabric Paints in pretty spring colors. The paints are permanent on fabric, so you can use your new lucky bunny tote to help you win the Easter egg hunt every year! All of this talk about the Easter Bunny has us wanting little bunnies of our own to keep the whole year through, not just in the spring! This sock bunnies Easter project is especially fun for kids; not only do they get to do a creative tie-dye craft, they’ll also get to inspire their imaginations during playtime afterward. Grab some old socks from your drawer and see how easy it is to turn them into colorful, cuddly little bunnies! Want your Easter eggs to last for Easters to come? Try painting rocks instead! This Easter project will get the whole fam out of the house and on the hunt for the perfect rocks to paint. It’s a fun, hands-on project that turns a simple mug into a keepsake you’ll want to use long after the Easter candy is gone. And the best part? Every sip comes with a smile because you painted it yourself! A big tie‑dye bow instantly turns an Easter basket into a vibrant showstopper, bursting with swirly spring colors. Add a hand‑painted name down the tail, and suddenly the bow becomes a personalized little masterpiece. It feels playful, handmade, and totally photo‑worthy. It’s like a cheerful pop of personality perched right on top. Kids will spot their basket from a mile away, and adults might secretly want one too. Quick & Easy Holiday Sweatshirt with Fabric Spray Dye

Creating a custom holiday sweatshirt can be a fun and creative project to showcase your festive spirit. With just a few supplies and creativity, you can make a striped fabric spray dye holiday sweatshirt featuring tape-resist snowflakes. Follow this easy tutorial to craft your own! Supplies: · White 100% cotton sweatshirt · Tulip Confetti 7-Color Spray Dye Kit · Plastic table cover to protect your workspace · Painter’s tape · Scissors Step 1: Prepare Fabric & Mix Dyes Prewash and dry sweatshirt. Lay down a plastic cover or tarp to protect your area from any dye spills or overspray. Put on your gloves to keep your hands clean. Add water to dye bottles and shake to mix. Confirm all dye powder has completely dissolved. Make sure your sweatshirt is clean and dry for best results. Apply painter’s tape onto sweatshirt in large snowflake shapes to work as a pattern resist. Place cardboard or plastic between layers of sweatshirt to protect dye from seeping through to back. Step 2: Spray on Dyes Spray on your dyes in your desired design, spraying over tape snowflake designs. Be sure to apply dye generously, but do not oversaturate fabric. Be careful to not overlap colors. Once you are done applying spray dye, remove painter’s tape from fabric spray dye holiday sweatshirt. Cover sweatshirt with plastic and let set 6-8 hours. Step 4: Rinse, wash and dry Using cold water, rinse out all excess dye until water runs clear. Wash and dry separately according to product instructions. Step 4: Reveal! Congratulations! You've just created a custom striped fabric spray dye holiday sweatshirt with festive snowflakes. Easy paw print art and handprint art with fabric paint

Easy paw print art and handprint art with fabric paint

Creating paw print art and handprint art is a fun and personal way to decorate your home while celebrating your love for your family and furry friends. In this tutorial, we will show you how you can transform these lasting impressions into a unique wall art gallery and cherish these special memories for years to come. This easy fabric printing technique is not only fun but also a great way to add a unique touch to your décor. Supplies Needed: • Tulip Fabric Paint in your choice of color • Protective surface cover • Paintbrush or sponge • Shallow dish or paper plate • Canvas or thick art paper • Damp cloth or wipes • Picture frames Step 1: Prepare the Canvas or Paper Lay your canvas or paper flat on a protective surface. Ensure it is clean and ready for painting. Step 2: Apply Handprints and Paw Prints For handprint art, paint your child's hand with the fabric paint and press it firmly onto the canvas or paper. After pressing down hand, lift straight up to prevent smudging. Continue with the same application for all family members' hands. For paw print art, do the same with your pet's paw, ensuring they have paint on the pads. You may use a stencil to create shapes or designs around the prints. Step 3: Let Dry Once you have applied the prints, allow the canvas to dry completely. This ensures your art sets properly. Step 4: Create Your Wall Gallery Add paw print art and handprint art to picture frames. If you have multiple pieces, consider creating a gallery wall. Group similar artworks together for a cohesive look, allowing your handprint keepsakes to stand out. With these easy steps, you can create a beautiful piece of paw print art and handprint art that captures precious memories of your children and pets!
